Good fish dip, excellent wine and spirit selection. My wife had the tuna burger, and I had the fish and chips. I'll likely steer... clear of the fish and chips on any future visits though. They missed a couple bones prepping the fillets which made for anot-so-nice surprise halfway through. Our waitress took the plate to show the chef, but left the entree on our bill ???? Read more

Great place outside of the bustle of King Street area, but not to be overlooked. We came here on a whim, but we're so happy we... did. Oysters we're amazing, but the star of the show was this whole fish. They will de-bone for you at the table. You can seethe before and after! Delicious. I will be back here when I come to Charleston again in the fall. Read more

A very good seafood restaurant. Friendly staff and great service. Fresh oysters that were on point. The shrimp and grits is on... an another level. I thoroughly enjoyed my options here. Good pricing and a large amount of drinks selection. Highly recommended. Read more

Husband said these are the best raw oysters he tried in Charleston and we tried about 6 other places. Steamed shrimp was alright... nothing special. Great atmosphere. Service could be a little bit more personal. Felt like we were in mass production factory. Read more

I can't give this place five stars as much as I wanted to... Love the outdoor seating and the staff was friendly and... helpful. They even explained why the shrimp in their shrimp and grits was black. It's special and unique to theirrestaurant. However, being honest, it was only the third best shrimp and grits meal I've had on this trip. I didn't like thespecial version of shrimp as well as I wanted to. The grits were fairly plain, not bad, but nothing fantastic either. All in allthis was a good place but it wasn't what I wanted it to be. Read more

Every single thing about this place is 5 stars. Convenient parking ? Energetic vibe ? Ambiance (perfect lighting) ? Service and... Management ? Cocktails ? Oysters ? Every menu item ? You simply can not go wrong at Rappahannock. Perfect spot for date night, girls night, family, business, or solo dining. Great outdoor space and lively indoor seating. Get dressed up…or dressdown….anything goes here. Pro tip: order a French 75 and just start sampling menu items. Read more

First time in Charleston so seafood was the choice and Rappahannock was amazing. Everything I ordered was fresh and delicious.... The mussels were perfect and large, the crisp was fresh and the sauce to go along with it was something you want to dipeverything in. Must get the scallops, reminded me of a Coquille St. Jaques from France, the curry shrimp was very flavorful, crab cake was all meat no filler. Overall the food was top notch. They have shaded outdoor dining which was great although oneof the tiki torches fell over onto my chair from behind. Otherwise fully recommend trying this restaurant if you are in thearea. Read more
