Service was efficient and curious. The vibe is very much a local "dive bar" in West Ashley. It was a Sunday night, late... October so not crowded at all. We enjoyed the food, but it just wasn't what it was billed to be. So it was tasty - butdisappointing. First, the fried shrimp were very good, but my wife said they had a bit too much breading for her. I enjoyedthem though. The peck of steamed oysters were wonderful. Exactly what I wanted. But we also came here specifically for theOysters Rockefeller and the Chargrilled Oysters, and this is where the food fell short. The Oysters they labelled asChargrilled were not: they were merely baked with a parmesan and butter topping. Anyone who has had real Chargrilled Oystersfrom New Orleans can tell you these are two different preparations, and the end result comes out very different. They werestill tasty - just not Chargrilled. Which brings me to the Rockefellers. This is their "unique spin" on Rocks and they are notRockefellers at all. These have a heavy Cajun cream sauce with andouille and crawfish in it, topping the oysters. No spinachor parsley, precious little bacon, and none of the anise flavor that you associate with Rockefellers. I don't think there wasany Pernod or fennel. Of all the ways you can make oysters rockefeller, this was none of them. Now the best part is, they weregood. A little heavy on the cream sauce, but very good. But also not in any way oysters rockefeller. Read more

Great food selection, impeccable service, and tasty cocktails. Drink specials were a great deal. We had a lot of the items on... the menu and were thoroughly impressed. Only negative would be the poor description of the "crab cakes". They are more like deepfried crab "balls". Read more

Great looking place to hang out. Good atmosphere. My issue is that we ordered Oyster Rockefeller and there was SO MUCH stuffing... that it ruined the flavor of the oyster! Then my wife and I ordered the Seafood Pasta. It was good, but the plate they use wasso shallow that the portion size was too small and WAY too much garlic....that is not the only way to get flavor! For the price, and how much you actually got, was terrible. Even though the flavor was good, I won't be back. The value for what you're payingjust isn't there. Read more

A nice place that has good atmosphere. Not a big restaurant, but definitely spacious. I had a friendly waitress. Service was... good and the food was pretty good. Good selection of raw oysters at the time, decent fish and chips and my +1 had a crabsandwich that was good. A little hiccup on the side order, but was not worried. Pricing is fair. Parking is decent since therestaurant is located in a quite busy area but I had no issues around 5pm weekend. Overall pretty good experience and wouldrecommend a try for others. Read more

Quaint Dining Area between Stono River & Ashley River on Savanna Highway in Charleston. Upscale and classic offerings. Indoor... and outside dining. Imaginative drinks featuring the fabulous & Spicy Oyster Shooter. Wow! Fried Cod & Chips are aperfect. As the name infers, there is every kind of Oyster menu item you can think of. This is a place you have to frequentbecause there is variety and the execution is attempted to be the best around. This is a fun area to dine. But Pearlz isprobably one of the best and highlights the area very brightly. Was also happy with the service, Abbey added positivity to theoverall experience. Read more

Virginia was our server tonight and she did not disappoint. She was absolutely lovely! I cannot thank her enough for the... experience she gave us! We ordered the bottle of Story point and it was a very nice cabernet. The corn fritters, fried shrimp, and crab dip starters were mouth watering amazing! Then their frozen drink machine caught my eye. Virginia suggested I try bothbecause they were both very tasty! However I chose the red/pink mixture. IT WAS AMAZING!! The next time I am in Charleston, Sc Iwill be back in ? Read more

We wanted seafood while in Charleston and this is one of our friends go to spots. We did takeout which can be ordered online.... The website wasn't accurate with what was out of stock though, so we ordered over the phone. Four of us split the Tuna Tartare,Baked Oyster Rockefeller (x2), Crab Dip, BLT Seafood Salad, Tuna Taco, Crispy Shrimp Taco, Lump Crab Cakes (x2), GrilledAsparagus, Andouille Cajun Red Rice, and Flash Fried Brussel Sprouts. I thought this was going to be way too much food for fourpeople, but it was the perfect amount. Portion sizes were pretty small. I really loved the food. My favorite things were theOyster Rockefeller, Crab Dip, Tacos, and Andouille Cajun Red Rice. Everything else was also great though. The only thing thatwas disappointing was the BLT Seafood Salad. It sounded really good on the menu, but it was basically just a regular salad witha couple of pieces of seafood on it. Based on portion sizes, I found this restaurant to be on the more expensive side. It's aseafood restaurant though, so that's to be expected. I'd recommend checking it out! Read more
