Food was great, just a bit too pricey for Mexican food. Nice atmosphere and great service. I had the cauliflower tacos, very... tasty & fresh. My wife had the Caesar shrimp salad which was also fresh. All in all, enjoyed our visit! Read more

Maya Relatively New Mexican restaurant on busy busy King street. The pluses are many; good food and super wait staff. The menu... was inventive but not a lot of choice. Not as noisy as most restaurants and a pleasing mod Tex/Mex vibe. The brisket taco wasexcellent. Overall we give it a solid four clams on the coveted Five Quahog Rating Scale. Read more

Beautiful & Delicious! This place is an exquisite feast for the senses! We had a reservation and we were seated right away in a... roomy booth with beautiful privacy walls. The service was excellent and attentive. The margaritas are delicious (and verystrong!). The food is sublime. We shared the Esquites (Mexican street corn), and it was some of the best I?ve ever had. My mainentree was the enchiladas. The flavors are impeccable, and the skill with which they are executed is top notch. The portionsizes are perfect, and it?s priced fairly. The ambiance of the restaurant is fantastic and fun. We?ll definitely be back againand again! Read more

I was blown away by my dining experience here. They have amazing cocktails the Pineapple Ginger Margarita was so good. And I... love all the authentic dishes. I have to say that the Esquites was phenomenal and the Enchiladas! Also, on Friday night theChef is on the patio cooking. I loved seeing him in action. Their indoor and outdoor space is phenomenal. I just love all thedetails and the service was on point as well! Follow me on Instagram @sipbiteandtasteit for all my foodie adventures. Read more

A friend chose this place to celebrate a birthday here and it was a fantastic choice! We were seated in the back patio area so... we had some privacy for our party of 6. Their drink menu is varied and so hard to pick just one... So we didn't and triedseveral! They have a couple tequila flights to pick from as well. The server was extremely knowledgeable and educated us on thedifference between tequilas before we made our selection. He also made it super special by surprising us with a dessert! Allaround a fantastic experience. Read more

There?s no shortage of great restaurants in Charleston - but Maya is definitely one of the best!!! We went their for brunch and... it was the PERFECT spot. While located on King Street, it takes you away from all the craziness of the busy road. My advice:Definitely opt to dine in their patio. The decor and aesthetic is GORGEOUS. For food, you can?t go wrong with their Aguachile,Queso Fundido, and Pan Frances! I?ll definitely be back to try their dinner menu soon. Read more

I am visiting Charleston for one week and had been eyeing Maya for a few days in anticipation for a nice dinner. I was not... disappointed. The staff was friendly, the food delicious and decor on point. I really enjoyed the ambiance in the back of therestaurant. A heated, covered patio that kept us warm. It probably is opened during the warmer months. The bar is stylish andthere is a cute little swing on the far side by the fireplace. Shout out to Anna our amazing waitress who was attentive andkind. She checked on us and made sure we had enough to drink and made really good suggestions (al pastor taco, pineapple/gingermargarita and FLAN!!). Read more
