We went for a before dinner drink and had the best time! So happy to have gotten to try this place and while we thought we were... just there for wine (which was so well selected and delicious) we were talked into trying the food and the lamb meatballs andcrudo were dining highlights! This was delicious! We had the patatas bra as, red snapper, and the pork shoulder. The potatoes were so good we got a second... order! Our server was delightful to talk with and enjoyed sharing his favorite spots. Read more
We went down for Valentine?s Day. Food was really good and service was excellent. I had the pork shank which was delicious and... we had some really good appetizers pictured. Also a really good selection of wine from Spain and Portugal.. We live in MountPleasant and will definitely be back to Laurel. Read more
This is my after work go-to spot to indulge in some spanish tapas in a relaxing environment. I?ve only had one drink (sangria)... and two small plates (pan con tomate and lamb meatballs). I would come eat here every day if I could. The staff is friendly, theservice is fast, the food is incredible. We had a great dinner! We got the bravas, ribs, lamb meatballs, scallops, steak and cheese cake for dessert. This is one of... those rare places where I?m pretty sure whatever you order on the menu will be delicious, not a single thing disappointed. Mywife had the Spanish GNT and I had the Pear and Bourbon cocktail and they were both awesome as well. My first experience at Laurel was a memorable one, as the venue, service and food were excellent! Their approach to Spanish and... Portuguese cuisine, could easily make Laurel one of my favorite restaurants in Charleston. The menu offered a nice variety,without being exhaustive, and every dish was incredibly fresh and packed with amazing flavor. Nice cocktail and beer selection,too. Highly recommend their Olivos Laurel, Croquetas Del Dia, Boquerones Y Patatas Fritas, Laurel Pulpo Garlicia, Costillas ALa Portillo, Pollo Asado Mojo Rojo Y Mojo Verde & Vieiras Con Azafran! My husband and I sat at the bar and had the best time! The food was absolutely phenomenal (I cannot stress this enough there is... a magician in kitchen who has very clearly spent some time in Spain) I loved everything we tried and suggest this placr toanyone who wants an authentic taste of Spain.
