We have passed this restaurant many times without stopping but tonight we celebrated some birthdays there with grandkids. Nice... shaded outdoor area with a bar and picnic tables. We had inside dining at a large corner table that was comfortable for a largegroup. Service was terrific and the food was an interesting cross of Caribbean and Mexican. The menu was not extensive but therewas something there for everyone, including vegetarians. Portions were good sized and attractively plated. Reasonable wine andbeer offerings and while the place was pretty full it was not overly loud. Some parking on site and there was plenty of streetparking. We were visiting from out of town and there were 6 of us. Bianca was our server and she was awesome!!!! She took our order and... remembered every detail. She was extremely attentive and made great food/drink recommendations. The food was awesome as well.Loved the atmosphere at Fuel Charleston, and I will definitely return the next time I am in Charleston. Read more
This place is so cool. Great vibe, excellent dog friendly patio with loads of fans. The staff is awesome; Madeline our server... was the best. Sky greeted us and our puppy Anni and we felt like we were home. Oh BTW The drinks and food were awesome! Happyhour even better. Don’t miss this place for sure! Read more
Stopped here for lunch. Started out with nachos. The boys had burgers and fries. My husband had a burger and tried the... plantains. He didn't care for the plantains...but he is kind of a picky eater. I had a Jerk chicken salad. Was very good.Jackwas our waitor...he did a very nice job and was attentive. The atmosphere is absolutely amazing! The decor fits the theme perfectly and the place is in immaculate condition (except some... of the tables were sticky from the wax used). The wait staff (Bianca) were friendly and have a great memory. Nothing waswritten down and everything was served in perfect order, even with complicated and picky orders. The sandwiches were hot, theplantains were sweet, the fries were seasoned right, and the rice bowl was perfectly braised. The mojitos, mules, and cocktailswere the best we've had in a long time! Throughout our visit to the Charleston area, we've encountered quite a few of unsavoryrestaurants... this is NOT one of them. Fuel Charleston is amazing! Read more
We are visiting Charleston for the first time this weekend and decided to give Fuel a try for our first meal out. We ate here... for lunch and hands down the BEST jerk chicken sandwich I’ve ever eaten! Hand cut fries are one of my favorites so I was superstoked about those as well! Our service was prompt, our app the quest carne was amazing, the entrees fresh and delicious! 10/10recommend anyone to give this place a try! This was one of my favorite restaurants we visited in Charleston! It’s and old file station converted to a restaurant…so... cool! The food was delicious, service was great and the ambiance was unique and awesome! The street corn was so good and thetaco fries were also amazing! I was surprised at the amount of flavor in my rice bowl and the added texture from the toppingmade it extra delicious, though the fresh salsa definitely made the dish! Husband and I stopped by for a late dinner on our way to a night event. The food was worth the stop.
