You have to order at the window then seat yourself. I like this because wegot to sit where we want, however, you need to go back to the window if you want to add anything to your order. We had blackenedgrouper, whole fried flounder, fried shrimp, fried oysters, and a plant-base burger. Food came out quick, about 10 minutes. Allthe seafood was LIGHTLY seasoned and was actually pretty good. But the fries and deep fried brussel sprouts had no flavor addedto them so if you're counting your sodium intake this is the place for you! If not, find a dipping sauce for your sides. Thenthere's the coleslaw. The coleslaw had way too much mayo for my liking. It was like a side of mayonnaise with cabbage. Then theyadd pecans to it and I was not a fan at all. Been driving past this spot for months and it always has a decent amount of people. Very nice and laid-back, and great... atmosphere. The outside decor is beautiful weather you go in the day or the night. Staff was very friendly and the food wasbrought out quickly. The food and drinks were great. Overall, big fan! 10/10 recommend. We came for lunch, but I could see it being an awesome happy hour option. Food: Definitely... get the hush puppies. We got a fried fish taco, two grilled shrimp tacos, a blackened grouper sandwich, and shared fried okra.All were delicious! Drinks: Got the Harbor lemonade and the strawberry one (forgot names). Stopped by after we found the place on BringFido. The outdoor seating was simple but pretty with a heating unit and fans... available depending on the weather. We ordered the combo grouper and shrimp blackened ($20+) and the shrimp Po boy ($13). Wealso ordered a side of hush puppies ($3) and a turkey mix bowl ($5) for our pup. The turkey bowl was devoured by our dog withouther taking a breath between bites, so 5/5 stars there. The Po Boy was actually a let down. Very simple and basic without a lotof flavor going on, huge shrimp though. 3/5 The Blackened Grouper was out of this world, highly regret not simply ordering alarge. Flavor and spices to the max! The shrimp was great but so overshadowed by the grouper you nearly forget the 8 jumboshrimp were there. 6/5. Oh yeah hush puppies. 4/5. On a nice day. Go here. It is the only place for miles and minutes that gives you that vibe you crave. An adult beverage,... maybe some fried fish or oysters. The outdoor seating in insanely awesome. Stop time and soak in the great East Coast, LowCountry Outdoors. Mom said so and so did Dad, the kids and the Park Ranger also said come on get your get out of jail cardhere. Life is too short. Enjoy the place called "Ellis Fish Camp". But don't bring a tent, you can't really camp here. Youcan't fish here either. But, you can enjoy all the above. Read more
I have driven pass this place numerous times and finally got a chance to bring my family to try the food. We ordered outside... without any issues... We were a party of 11 so I knew the order would take a little bit of time. It was quicker than I expectedbut the final order to be brought to the table was mine. The main issue that I had was that the waitress walked past me and putit on another person's table as I watch them touch the food then tell the waitress something causing her to bring it back to thekitchen. Since I knew this had to be my food I followed her in the door. She been placed it back on the Shelf and spoke to theCook. After their conversation it was picked back up in an attempt to bring it to my table with the rest of our order. Iimmediately explained that I didn't want it since someone else had it placed on their table as well as they touched the food andwas looked at like I was a Karen. I explained that I would request a new plate of food since they would not want their foodtouched by anyone else either. The cook pulled that same plate of food back and said he would re-cook it. Since I did not seehim throw it away there's no telling whether I did get a new plate or not but what I got did come hot. This is a one-and-donefor me based on the fact that if a business thanks this is a good idea then I don't need to be returning. Read more
Delicious seafood! Had the pick 3 with grouper, scallops and shrimp. It was cooked blackened with sweet potato fires and... coleslaw. It was so good we had to try more so we got the fish tacos. Definitely going to head back before we leave. Read more
Delicious food, great service, and a wonderful outdoor space. It was a little chilly when we visited, but it was not... uncomfortable to sit outside because they had the heaters on. I recommend the fried oysters, the grouper (blackened), and thegrits. It's a great space for dogs and the employees are extra kind. Read more
