We love afternoon tea so we decided to check out this spot since we were going to be in Charleston for the day. Afternoon tea is... $45 per person, or $50 if you order champagne, and they require a 48-hour reservation and also cancellation window. If it'syour first time doing afternoon tea, you'll probably enjoy it because the food was good. However, the clotted cream wasstrangely watery, and tasted almost like cream cheese. But, if you're a seasoned afternoon tea person, you may be disappointedby the high price and accompanying small portions. Read more

Visiting the area and spotted this nice cafe and decided to have lunch. We have a Service Dog and had planned to sit outside,... but Emilee met us and said our pal was more than welcome to come in with us. In fact, she provided him a nice bowl of coldwater. What a great place, nice menu, food was great, Emilee was outstanding, price more than reasonable. Definitely a placewe'll visit again when in the area. Read more

The afternoon tea service is such a fantastic activity! Our group went for a bachlorette outing and we are so happy we did. ... Not only was the tea delicious, but we had amazing sandwiches, snacks, and desserts. Emilee went above and beyond to make ourtea service special and it was very nice to have the restaurant to ourselves. If you are looking for something unique for aCharleston activity, I would highly recommend this! Read more

After 2 hours and almost 3 miles into our walking tour of Charleston, we stopped for a delicious lunch at East Bay Meeting... House. Linda had the turkey with brie and pesto Panini and I had the Turkey Club sandwich. Both were washed down with sweet tea. A great lunch to refuel for the afternoon walking. Read more

Best French toast I've had in a while. Lovely atmosphere and had the place pretty much to ourselves on a Monday morning.

Last week I hosted the most beautiful baby shower/afternoon tea at the East Bay Meeting House for 16 out of town guests. I have... attended afternoon tea time at other establishments but this was simply a superior experience.Everything about the party was soabsolutely perfect! The setting is world class Charleston with a distinct Parisian bistro feel. Food was expertly prepared andtable set with gorgeous linens and vintage china. The generous selection of quiches, tea sandwiches, croissants, scones ,macronsand cake were all so incredibly delicious Owner Robbin K allowed us to use the entire restaurant space for the 2 hour privateafternoon party which made it even more luxurious and intimate. Our private server,Claire, was sweet , attentive and kept thetea and Prosecco flowing. I will most definitely return for our romantic date nights and family events- as recent NYCtransplants to Charleston , we were so touched by both the quality of food and true hospitality of the East Bay Meeting House. We took our two-year-old for his first afternoon tea. The owner and server were so awesome. The food was great. They were so... accommodating. They even made my son his own little plate. When we left my son said, ?thank you, teacup man!? I would definitelyrecommended going here. They are the best. Read more

My wife and I had a great experience at the East Bay Meeting House. We enjoyed their afternoon tea which was both delicious and... filling. The afternoon tea came with a pot of tea and a tower of desserts, scones and finger sandwiches. It was delicious! Theservice was excellent, Robin and Jailene were very friendly and very helpful. They really made the experience great by tellingus stories and explaining all of the teas and food. We would highly recommend the afternoon tea to anyone! Make sure to reserveat least 48 hours in advance! Great work Robin and Jailene! Read more
