Great spot downtown, we sat on the porch. While the place was busy it wasn't crowded. We started with the fried green tomatoes... with pork belly croutons. Dont miss it the honey glaze sauce was tops! I ordered the Shrimp BLT, and fries and it did notdisappoint. The flavor of the lettuce and tomato topping though vinegary wasn't overwhelming and paired nicely with the sauceused to cook the shrimp. The addition of pepper jack cheese on lightly toasted sourdough bun was a flavor sensation. Thechipper server was a delight, making our experience a great one. A big "Well done " to our server Ronda! Such a great brunch place!! Definitely worth checking this place out if you are visiting Charleston. The food was amazing and... the staff was very friendly. We tried many different items (most of their staples) and we LOVED them all. The truffle fries arecrispy, thin and delicious, the truffle mushroom soup is the best if you are mushroom soup lover, the shrimp BLT is pretty goodbut we liked the roast beef sandwich more. It was the BEST roast beef sandwich I ever had. Oh and the mac n cheese? out of thisworld, so flavorful!! Prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was very unique. Worth making a reservation in advance to avoidany wait times. Read more

It was a great experience dining at the Cru cafe. We went there just to try the macaroni, which we heard great reviews about. It... was amazing. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, basil shrimp pasta and seafood risotto. All the items were great and hugeportions. The only thing was since we were sitting outside( they didn?t have tables available inside) there were mosquitoes, weneeded up getting mosquito bites. Read more

A true Charleston experience. We waited about 45 minutes for a seat inside but it was well worth the wait. We could immediately... tell by the homey atmosphere that we were in for a treat. I got the duck confit and it was one of the best meals I couldremember having. It had a healthy, comforting taste with superb presentation. The rest of my party agreed it was a verymemorable lunch. Lastly, hands down to the mussels that I almost drank up the sauce with the shells, it?s a must-have Read more

One of my favorite restaurants in Charleston. The experience is down-to-earth in a old Charleston home, but the flavors are out... of this world. I got the steak and was not disappointed. From the appetizers, to the wine, to the entree?s, I was very pleased. Read more
