Reviews for Chez Nous in Charleston, SC
Beautiful little building. A touch hard to find but easy enough with GPS. The menu changes frequently and the hand written touch... is lovely. My boyfriend got the opposite options as myself, so together we tried the whole menu. The duck was delicious, thecauliflower alongside it was perfection. The server, Ryan, was knowledgeable and helpful. We ordered a few glasses of wine thatwere lovely. The rice pudding I?ll dream about! Read more
My boyfriend and I are in Charleston for a couple of weeks so we?ve been to all the top places here. This has been our most... fantastic experience. The food is simple, well done, delicious, and so creative. We had lovely wine to pair with our fish andpork, and the olive oil cake was unreal. I love when a chef has a passion and we get to experience it. Read more
Food is pretty good, I?ve had better. I was expecting my meal to be a greater experience based on the reviews, price, and other... dining experiences in Charleston. Maybe I came on an off day. I wish I got a picture of my salad, it was beautiful andtasty. Ambiance: charming, I loved the look! Service: excellent Read more
Words can?t really describe my visit here except you need to definitely check this place out! It?s hard to find if you?re not... familiar with the area. It?s tucked away and hidden from the street. There is a very small sign on a pole that is easy to missso our Lyft driver missed it but we found it eventually. Word of caution for those that like to review menus before diningsomewhere. The menu changes daily. They offer 2 different appetizers, entrees and desserts each day. They post their menu andpictures of each item daily on social media. I would say that you need to have an open mind about food and just enjoy yoursurroundings. The cuisine is a mixture of French, Spanish and Italian influences. I noticed on the wine list that everything wasalso from those 3 countries. We booked our reservation a month in advance on Resy. They offer the same menu for lunch anddinner. I wish that I would have ordered one of everything on the menu. Seriously it was that good! For my appetizer I chose aroasted chickpea salad which was delicious. Can?t go wrong with roasted chickpeas, red onion, cucumber, roasted peppers and asoft boiled egg in a yummy vinaigrette dressing. I used the complimentary bread to soak up the dressing too?yummy! For my entreeI chose the trout that was sourced from the waters of N Carolina and stuffed with crispy Serrano ham on top of roastedfingerling potatoes, escarole in a lemon butter sauce. Best tasting fish that I?ve had ever! It?s was a whole fish minus thehead, tail and bones. Had a glass of Riesling from France to wash it all down! For dessert I chose the puff pastry with freshwhipped cream and a blueberry compote. It was good but I wish that I would have chosen the Fontainebleau which was a house madecheese with sugar and vanilla drizzled with honey and topped with strawberries. I had a cup of cappuccino to end my evening andit was fine cup of espresso and milk! I truly left satisfied and happy and hope to return one day soon! Read more
This has been the best restaurant my husband and I have ever visited. The place is very cozy and private, perfect for a romantic... date. The food was exquisite and the attention they gave us was very special. Every day the chef writes a different menu by handthat includes 6 options. So, the food is always very fresh and prepared with dedication. I would recommend this restaurantwithout a doubt. Read more

One of my best meals in Charleston / Savannah area. I made a last minute reservation for a table of 2, and we were seated in... this beautiful little outdoor yard in the corner. This whole restaurant is like a small house so it is very easy to miss itfrom the outside. It was a bit cold on the outside in December but nothing cannot be resolved with the heater turned on. Themenu is very interesting. I was told the chef will post the daily menu on Instagram and you only have 2 choices per course. So2 apps, 2 entries and 2 desserts. That's it. It actually simplified the ordering process a lot because we basically orderedeverything on the menu. The salads were solid. I had a risotto with bone marrow and my wife had the fish dish of the day. Both are very delicious, especially the fish. I wish the chef could put in some real meat into the risotto dish. The dessertwith ricotta cheese was extremely well done. We both loved it. I believe the menu design showcased the creativity from thechef. Overall very solid choice and highly recommend. Read more
We originally had dinner reservations for Chez Nous, but last minute decided to walk in around noon for lunch instead. The menu... is the same, but the atmosphere was immaculate. With it being slightly early on a Friday, the dreamy restaurant was quiet, withjust a few other diners. We sat at the bar and our waiter, Ryan, greeted us and told us all about the menu concept andwines. The menu is simple, only 6 options, and changes every day. But the food is anything but boring. We chose to get eachappetizer and each entree, plus a mind blowing bottle of rosè. To say we were blown away in an understatement. Nothing thatcame out was what I expected, the flavors were bright and balanced, and perfectly executed. The food, the romantic ambiance, andthe incredible staff made this one of the best dining experiences I?ve had in my life, and my husband agrees. Do yourself afavor and go to Chez Nous while in Charleston. Only have the expectation of good food, keep an open mind and enjoy!!! Read more
