***TOP TEN ALERT*** The past couple of years has seen the retirement of legendary GM Mickey Bakst & ushered in the new ownership... of local businessman Ben Navarro and the experience is just as good as ever with longtime Executive Chef Michelle Weaver, new GMJulie Hennigan, and new Beverage Director Andrew Marshall. In a sophisticated, yet not pretentious fine dining atmosphere, withlive jazz every night, this place does everything amazing and the service is equally impeccable. Always in the conversation ofBest Crab Cake in Town, our faves are the ribeye(pictured is the newer incarnation 32oz bone-in), Lamb Chops, anything seafoodbut especially scallops, and one of the best sides ever, the Local Butter Beans w/shrimp butter. Everything pictured wasincredible! Read more

My wife and I ate here for our anniversary. I mentioned in the notes when I made the reservation that we would be celebrating... our anniversary. They seated us beside the musicians (which was the best seat) without even asking and also gave us a card witha happy anniversary wish. The staff was amazing and very attentive to us. The food was so good!!! We both had crab cakes forappetizers which were amazing. We also both had Halibut as our entree and thoroughly enjoyed it. We didn't order dessert butthey brought us a plate with small selections of treats with edible white chocolate with Happy Anniversary wrote on it. This wasprobably in my top 3 best meal experiences in my life! Hopefully we can return again one day. Read more

Went here to celebrate my mother?s bday and I couldn?t have made a better decision. The live jazz was wonderful. Each course was... absolutely delicious (not pictured: assorted breads and butter with black lava salt) If you get dessert, make sure to get therecommended wine pairing (it changes, but the crème brûlée is a staple). There is a kid?s menu if you have a picky eater.Thank you Taylor and Matthew for your excellent service ?? Read more

Walking through the doors, we are warmly greeted by two smiling hostesses and promptly seated at a table alongside the window.... My husband and I are admiring the warm ambiance of the restaurant and enjoying the live jazz music when our server approaches, congratulating us on our recent nuptials. We order the 2019 Château Palmer, Vin Blanc de Palmer to start and glance over themenu. We like to have our dinner in courses, and everything was timed out perfectly. For the first course we had the little gemsalad-- a beautiful display of crisp greens, radish, dill, and cucumber with a flavorful green goddess dressing. We also triedthe crab cake-- fresh chunks of crab, lemon, tomatoes and shrimp in a delightful dill sauce. Amazing! For the second course weopted for the spring vegetable and lemon risotto-- mushrooms, herbs and vegetables were all a part of this creamy, citrusyrisotto. One of the better risottos we've had. My husband and I jokingly call this our "palate cleanser." For the third coursewe split the fish a la plancha and the scallops with the addition of the butter beans. The fish was delicate and full of flavor, served with baby leeks, charred ramps and chunks of ham in a beautiful parsley sauce. The scallops are served tender withasparagus and morel mushroom in a black truffle jus-- incredible! And the butter beans were my absolute favorite-- served warmin a delicious shrimp butter with rice, I could've eaten every last bite! For our final course, we enjoyed the cherry tiramisu.Coffee-soaked sponge cake layered with tart cherry and mascarpone allowed for a perfect ending to this outstanding meal. I mustadd that the service was impeccable-- some of the best service we've ever had. Needless to say, we will be back very soon! Read more

Wow! Came here to celebrate a birthday while we were in Charleston a few weeks ago, and I?m still thinking about all the... delicious food. The homemade bread was killer. The foie gras had the most amazing flavor, and the crab cake was to die for. Thelamb chops were perfectly cooked, the collard greens were like no other. Cocktails and dessert were also amazing. Definitelycan?t eat at places like this often because it is far from cheap, but it is well worth it. If you?re a foodie like me and inCharleston, splurge and come here. I cannot wait to come back. Our experience was wonderful. It was my husband's birthday and the service was top notch. We started off with champagne, crab... cakes, and spicy shrimp dish. It was all amazing, but the crab cakes were the best I've ever had. So fresh and perfectlyseasoned. This is true for the Lamb chops and beef tenderloin dishes. A new favorite for us for sure! The live jazz musicsealed the deal and made the evening so special. Read more
