Had a great lunch here. Although there was a line at the host stand and the place looked full, they have a large back patio and... we were seated immediately. Food was delicious and my entire family was satisfied (which is no easy feat). Delightful lunch experience! Their menu has great variety and they are very accommodating for dietary requests (they have gluten... free bread). We stopped at Brown Dog on Saturday around 11:15 am for a quick sandwich. It perfectly met our needs and expectations. We were... seated quickly and given the option of the patio - which was lovely. It?s a mix of a cave area and also more of an open patio.Our server was kind and quick. We had pig and fig and apple butter jeans - both were great! Sides are small a but we didn?tquite finish our whole meals anyway. I had the tortellini pasta salad and my husband had the potato salad. The inside ambianceis retro and quaint. Great sandwiches. My husband got the Mac and cheese one and I got the short rib grilled cheese sandwich. The flavor was... excellent but the only thing was it wasn?t a lot in quantity and it doesn?t come with any sides at all. Extra sides like chipsis another 2 dollar. Everything we expected and more! We chose this deli since we?re staying at a studio apartment nearby. Lively place with just the... right level of music playing in the background. Friendly staff and super cool atmosphere. Their juicy Reuben sandwich stands outfrom the crowd. Piled high, exceptionally fresh tasting corned beef had the perfect amount of sauerkraut and dressing. TheChicago Dog, with lots of scrumptious toppings, was unequaled. Cold, rainy day so we sat at the bar and enjoyed some beers. Afun lunch spot with lots of delicious looking choices. Very unique sandwiches that they can make on gluten free bread. I had Apple Butter Jeans Gluten Free (turkey, ham, cheese... sauce, apple butter jam, Granny Smith apples) and I added the potato salad. My husband had the Southern Charm, and Chicago Dog.Mine was delicious. That potato salad was delicious. My husband enjoyed both of his choices. The atmosphere is very laidback, and charming.
