Absolutely Amazing! Everything about this place was fabulous. A little busy on a Sunday but the wait time for food was less than... 8 minutes. We ate outside under their covered patio cause inside was a full. But from the amazing customer service to the food,this place comes highly recommend. Real full size chicken breast sandwich tasted better then any competitor they have. Theirfries, OMG! I don't know what they do to them but you have to taste them to believe them! First of all. It takes alot to surprise me. And being a 12 generation Charleston local. There is some fine food here. And I've... seen good and great come and go. Anyway. The sweet potatoes fries. Are to die for. .... from may places on this planet I havebeen to. I have never had as good.... You have to have them if you are within 100 miles. And the sandwich was a top 5. Chickensandwich also. Boxcar Betty's is always fantastic! Its such a, "please everyone" place. I had a sandwich with bacon jam, maple syrup, &... pimiento cheese. It was UNREAL. The vibe is so awesome here, as it truly is a local spot. We love visiting, as the food andservice never disappoints. Everything here is compostable, which is also a HUGE plus. Excellent! The build your own options was deep, I had the grilled chicken dipped in Buffalo with pickled green tomato. My GF had... the chicken salad with pickled green tomato. With sweet potato fries. All was very fresh tasting. Loved the sweet potato fries,top 3 of fries I've had in years! Will not be disappointed. Service was fast and accurate as well. Read more
With all the hype about Chicken Sandwiches over the past couple of years, when you see a place the SPECILIZES in Chicken... Sandwiches, you know it better be good. I wasn't sure what to order so I just chose the "Boxcar". It looked great and as Istarted eating it I was surprised. But as I kept going, I didn't have any chicken left, just bun! I was very disappointedbecause the sandwich was pretty good. My fries were a little salty, but they are not the star. Anyway, I'd give them anotherchance if I'm near another one, but I felt I was cheated on my chicken portion size. Read more
