The food is always good here. The prices have gone up and the dining experience is outside and not with a view. We had all our... beverages served in paper cups. Food came on styrofoam plates and bowls. We had to wrangle the plastic utensils out of plasticbags. For the price of the food and the fast food experience I’ll not come back at least not for lunch. When I asked why wehad to eat it on styrofoam and use plastic eating utensils the answer was……no dish washer during the day, the prices are notas expensive as at dinner time and if you don’t finish your meal it’s already in a go box. My fish and chips and clamchowder was hot and my husband and father in law had fettuccine and it was cold. Not room temperature but cold. Brought out thesecond attempt at hot fettuccine and it was a little warmer then first attempt. The noodles were not strained enough and thesauce was runny and water was separating the sauce. It was literally pooling on the plate. At least they put the fettuccine on aplastic plate the second time. My husband took the second plate to the cook and showed him how the water was pooling on theplate and the cook said “no it wasn’t and the food was hot and good” needless to say my husband threw it in the trash infront of him. We’ve been eating here for the last 30 plus years and this was the worst ever. Won’t come back. Unless youwant to eat like your on a pick nic and want high price food for the picnic experience do t come here. Read more

Do not come here before 4:00 if you plan to enjoy the view and eat your food on actual plates with silverware. We were served... everything down to the water in plastic and styrofoam dishes. The crab salad? Crab on lettuce in a Tupperware take out dish.Clam chowder? Styrofoam cup. Forks and spoons? Plastic wrapped plastic. For $12.95, I expected the crab cocktail to at least beserved on a plate or in a bowl. The dining room is closed before 4:00, so there is only a view of the parking lot from a picnictable under corrugated plastic roofing. I want to say the food was good. But it’s hard to muster when the bill came out to $90for two appetizers, a cup of chowder and an entree served in plastic and styrofoam. Just, do better Portside. Read more

So good that I visited 2 days in a row. The seafood is local and fresh. Bay shrimp cocktail was simple with a tasty cocktail... sauce. Local Cod Fish and Chips, Panko crusted. Note that the F&C and other fried goodies come out FAST = Flash fried notbathing in oil. Service is great, welcomed my pup on the patio. It’s not fancy. Plastic forks, paper cups. Christmas lightsyear around. It’s a gem. Read more

The food was Absolutely Amazing! And the service was equally as wonderful. I don't think I've been to a restaurant where they've... paid as much attention or cared as much. I recall we were stuffed to the brim and ready to get boxes, when I realized (quiteloudly by accident-I have a loud voice and it echoed????) that I didn't get the clam chowder that I had ordered ???? twoseparate employees almost immediately popped up from different corners like "Did we hear you're missing chowder?" And I turnedaround like Wow you guys have GREAT hearing ???????? They're all super friendly and kind, and we really enjoyed our server andeveryone else who came by and had contact with. I will say- for our price range it was a bit expensive; but we had been drivingthrough towns for almost an hour and a half trying to find a restaurant on our way through into coos bay and this was the firstplace we finally found that was open. Everywhere else we used our GPS to get to, was closed even though it said they were openand their voice-mail said it was open. It was great to find a restaurant we could sit down and break our travels at; but it wasa lot of money for 2 adults and a child. (The fuzzy picture I didn't get a clear shot of- but it's the Escargot thay my 4 yearold daughter even tried and absolutely loved!! She also enjoyed the fried crab legs, baked oysters, and the friedmushrooms????) Also pictured is the Cajun salmon, the fish and chips, two oyster shooters, and the child's fettuccineAlfredo It was great to watch her try all the new amazing foods! I wish wecould have left more as a tip for the amazing server;but we were already spending so much money that I couldn't afford to giveany more. Read more

Recently my mom visited and enjoys eating out. Of course she wanted seafood. I am vegan so I had no idea where to go. We found... Portside and it was a winner. I had a very good salad and mom had fish and chips. The fish looked and smelled so good. They useda light breaded batter instead of a heavy tempura. The serving sizes were generous. It was priced comparable to otherrestaurants in the area . The waitress was super nice and very attentive. Mom gave her meal 2 thumbs up!! As did I! They servealcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. It’s cozy, serving indoor or outdoors, located off Kingfisher as you head into themarina. Read more

So happy we stopped here to enjoy the seafood. Wonderfully good and service. Prices are a little high for the season, and my... scallops were a little overcooked. Other than that, everything was perfect. Read more

One of the best meals I have had in ages! Started off with their Calamari, which was simply amazing! Then a House Salad that... was impressive both in the presentation and how it tasted. The main course was the Stuffed Petrale Sole which was quitemarvelous. Their bartender makes a very nice Spanish Coffee. And their Chocolate Mouse........Heavenly. On my Must Return list! Read more
