Reviews for Culs Courthouse Grille in Charles City, VA
I was on a tour that stopped here for lunch. I had a burger and fries; they were pretty good. So as far as the food is... concerned...no complaints. However, there was an overall peculiar vibe while we were here. My particular table [trying to notview it as a racial thing] didn't seem to get the same warmth and service that other patrons (even in our own group) received. Icertainly wish I misread that, but I'm very intuitive. Read more

My husband and I had an excellent experience at this restaurant! The food was great, the vibe was immaculate, and it was in a... really beautiful area. I passed this place on a drive a couple months ago and made a note to go back, and I'm so glad I did.Definitely worth the 40 min drive we took to get there and we will for sure be going back. Please follow us on Facebook and Instagram at SNDTRAVELS and EATWELLTRAVELOFTEN Mom and pop restaurant set up in a old country... store. I ordered the catfish sandwich with homemade chips. The catfish was crisp and flavored just right, the bun was fresh andthe lettuce was also crisp. The tomato was thin but fresh tasting and I had them add cheddar cheese that topped it off. Thechips were crispy and seasoned well but they might have been slightly overdone. I had the opportunity to meet Bonnie, the owner, and she was great, giving me lots of history of the are. I love that. Overall it is recommended ????. Read more
We rode the Virginia Capital Trail from Chickahominy Riverfront Park and had lunch+draft at Culs before heading back. I was... asked to take this alpaca by the leash while his pen was being assembled - I really wanted to get a pic of him wearing my bikehelmet. Was my first time having fried green tomatoes (give them at least 5min to cool). The homemade bread and potato chipsare stellar. Colonial Williamsburg's Merchants Square is a cookie cutter tourist trap. Culs is authentic people and food, withsome really high end bikes rolling around. Read more
Great little, homey place to stop for a bite to eat. Especially when you are out hiking or biking to Virginia Capital Trail.... Plenty of parking both at the restaurant and across the street in the Charles City rest stop. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is very good. During my stop there was a representative from the alpaca farm across the road. Read more
