This place has been on the restaurant bucket list for awhile, excellent burgers with good variety of different types. I had the... swamp monster with side of fried green tomatoes. Delicious! Service was great also, from our waiter. (I will say in regards toa prior reviewer?s comments about uncomfortable stares by some staff (females) I did experience some of that as well, which isthe only reason I would give 4 stars instead of 5. Our waiter provided 5-star service. He was very attentive and professional.But I feel management needs to get to the bottom of what?s going on with some of the other staff since it wasn?t just anisolated situation in my case.) Went hangry to pick up the teen from work @ Higher Ground Char House and stayed to try out the menu. The kids had the Ooey... Gooey Mooey burger with 4 kids of cheese melted over a 7 oz burger. I had the Creaky Burger, swapped the burger for a portobellocap, topped with lettuce, onion, tomato, house made pimento cheese and a fried green tomato. ???? Their menu is refreshinglycreative and the staff is delightful! Love that they have 2 vegetarian options, a veggie patty or mushroom cap instead of themeat, but the kids really enjoyed the carnivore version! Found this place on a visit to Columbia by seeing the billboard on I-26. The burgers are made with good quality beef and fresh... ingredients. While it's not immediately off the Interstate, it is worth the drive. Friendly staff. Read more
Meh...saw billboard that they were voted best burger and thought we would try it out. Frozen patty doesn't make me wanna say... best burger. Great concept and friendly waitress. Service was fairly fast considering they were packed. Cheese fries were good.Just a bit disappointing and not something we will drive that far for again . Overall mediocre for us. Read more
This place is outstanding. The menu was original, the recipes covered a very wide range, and the service was great. Fantastic Burger!!! They have improved to my likes. Last time I was here the burgers were good but pressed together hard. Today... they are tender and taste great especially with my pimento cheese addiction. Excellent!!! The fried onion rings are some of thebest I have ever had. They were freshly made in house. We have driven by a billboard many times on the interstate and finally decided to stop by for dinner tonight. This place was... AMAZING. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a large menu to choose from including burgers, salads, andseveral appetizers and sides. The customer service was exceptional. I belive our waitress was named Hannah and she was veryfriendly and informative. Our food was delicious. Highly recommend the hush puppies appetizer. The whole experience was a 10out of 10. We came for lunch and had a great meal. The burgers were cooked perfectly to the requested temperature. The toppings and bread ... were quality, and the buffalo onion rings were fantastic. The service was super friendly and offered great recommendations. Theonly criticism I had were that the burger patties were under seasoned, and the chopped bacon on the burger was super greasy.
