Had my last drink at Tru last night. The app makes for an impersonal experience with the staff (who was very nice as we tried to... get the app to work) and limits the bar entirely to what?s listed on the app. For example, I wanted a simple drink - a French75, which is gin + Prosecco + lemon juice ? the bar has the ingredients, but it?s not in the app, I couldn?t order it. Againthe bartender was apologetic, but his hands were tied as that was the only point of sale available. Husband wanted an oldfashioned but again, not possible here any more. The app is logical for food but created such a complicated system to get acocktail that we didn?t really want. Read more

Really disappointed with the ordering system here. I find it frankly classist that their system relies upon people having... smartphones and cards. Many cities are banning card-only businesses because it creates an unnecessary barrier for people who maynot have bank accounts. I know it?s probably to save money, but I?m sure they also don?t mind that lower income folks can?taccess their bar? Read more

I used to love going to TRU, but it hasn?t been worth it since that new ordering and payment system was put in place. I kept... trying because I love TRU, but the system is so difficult, I?ve just walked out and gone to other bars four out of the last fivetimes I?ve tried. One time, I forgot my password to the ordering platform and couldn?t make a new profile because you can onlyhave one profile per card. One time my phone was out of battery. Last night, I easily got a seat at the bar, but the softwaresaid it was going to be a 45 minute wait. I was looking right at the bartender right in front of me, but I couldn?t ask for adrink from him. Very frustrating and unnecessary system. Read more

Really like this place, but there are not really any vegetarian options. I wish their were plant proteins like tempeh, tofu,... beyond meat, tofurkey etc. Even mozzarella would be nice so you could make a caprese sandwich. Love the cocktails though andstaff is great. Read more

Best place to have a laid back meal with your friends. Your order is completely customizable and is done online so you don?t... have to call anyone over or go to the bar for a drink. Sandwiches are always very solid. You can just sit wherever as soon asyou walk in. Staff is always extremely nice! Read more

The place was very nice. The meal with wine was pricey but it was worth it, the roast beef was excellent and wow, the selection... of sauces was amazing. I randomly put random assortments of things and it tasted very good, compliments to the kitchen over meconcocting some strange sandwich combo. I?m not sure if it would be a regular occurrence since the price was steep and I come tobelieve that Covid has bumped the prices compared to last year but that holds true to several places on franklin. Overall it wasan excellent meal and enough so to justify the price, but don?t come in expecting a bargain of any kind. Read more
