Breadman's is a wonderful long-time tradition in Chapel Hill. This rating is influenced by memories as well as just... acknowledging a good place to eat. It is one of very few remaining wonderful eateries from my college years in Chapel Hill ofthe sixties. Fortunately, we are still around to enjoy. This trip I only had a great, filling breakfast, but also got to baskin their new (2 years) digs. When I asked how long since they moved, the waiter also told me they still had the same lead cook,so the good life goes on. The staff is friendly and pays attention. The clientele covers a college town gamut. This new placejust needs some time to mellow into a simulacrum of the original on Rosemary St. (1930s or 40s, I think (?). I've been aroundso long and so many places have slipped away -- it's hard to keep their origins straight. Breadman's is a little farther fromcampus than it used to be, but well worth finding. I've been in this area for years didn't realize breadmans was on the other side of where whole foods was and never really... thought about coming to this restaurant I didn't know it was here. Somebody suggested and it's an awesome place prices are greatbetter than first watch just saying I like first watch but this is all that and better because it's less expensive You know alittle bit crowded but hey that just means that it's great food at a great cost and very well run a lot of students are thereserving so yeah great atmosphere so if you need a great restaurant for breakfast and for lunch so I think they close at 2:30p.m. and they open I think it's 7:00 but yeah run by there it's awesome in chapel Hill Read more
If I can say one thing about Breadman's it would be consistency. The food always good and the service is always great.... Especially Victoria! The place is small and quaint giving you a home kitchen feel. Not loud music or dishes banging with thecook yelling from the back. Just good food, great service at a good price. Read more
Sat outside on a beautiful Sunday morning. Very crowded, but was seated within 10 minutes. Many breakfast options available,... and all that I've tried have been excellent. Reasonably priced for quality and quantity of food. Read more
8 good size men for breakfast and they wanted to squeeze us all at a round table. I stated that I was not satisfied and wanted... tables pushed together. We got a little pushback and was asked how long would we be there. Besides the poor start to ourexperience, the food was very good and at a decent price. Read more
Chapel Hill staple. It's in a new location but the food is still the same! I have been going here for years. Some of my... favorites are their broccoli casserole, onion rings, grilled chicken salad, BBQ sandwich, banana pudding. The house made ranchis awesome. Read more

Food is great and we visit often. The waitstaff has always been friendly and everything. There is 1 girl that I guess is the... hostesses, she ALWAYS has an attitude. I have never seen her smile nor be friendly at all. Tonight my mother had a simplequestion. She rolled her eyes as if we were bothering her. So my mother said " nevermind I'll ask someone else". She rolled hereyes again then walked away. That was extremely rude considering she never spoke to us, not when we walked in, not even to takeus to our seats. My mom was just going to ask a simple question that's it. Other than her attitude and vibe, we had a very nicemeal and waitress. Breadman's should know that she is not someone that should deal with any customers because she's notwelcoming and she's rude. Other than that, the food is good especially the omelets and the grilled chicken and cornbread. Themanager or owner should really talk to that 1 hostesses with the glasses, her attitude and vibe is NOT for that position at all. Read more
