Unfortunately I was not a fan of this place. Decided to hop around on Franklin and try of few of the top rated places and this... takes last on my list. I will say that the bartender was excellent. I ordered the smoked wings and they were not smoked atall. The wings took along time to come out even though the place appeared to not be busy. Wish I had a better experience. Read more

Blue?s on Franklin is an amazing place to eat on Franklin Street! The family-owned BBQ establishment is awesome! The food is... good and so is the service! The staff is so kind and the owner, Andrew, checked on us while we ate! Super nice man! It is a mustto eat here, you won?t regret it! Read more

It was honestly so bad. Seemed like it was their first attempt at making BBQ ever. Place was really nice but we were the only... people inside and now we known why. As a student I was kicking myself for not just going to the dining hall to eat that's howincredibly subpar it was. This is not just a hater review either, I am truly being honest and hope if you read this you don't gohere. I'm simply praying you don't go here for your sake. Read more

Came here on a Saturday night to watch the UNC v. Duke football game. Plus, I love BBQ so I thought it would be a match made in... heaven. Unfortunately, this was not good BBQ. The meat I got seemed like it been way overcooked to the point where the texturewas dry and chewy. I had to slather on more sauce to make it palatable. It felt like the type of meat that's been cooked hoursago and was sitting on a heat lamp before they plopped it up and put on a plate. No way around it, just not very tasty. I wouldgive it a 2 stars but the service was fantastic and the waitresses were beyond kind. I appreciate that. It's a shame though. The vibe around the place and the inside area are super nice. I would imagine a ton of students there to be eating BBQ whileenjoying a game. When I went, it was nearly empty. I know why now. Read more

Outstanding pulled pork. Best Eastern Carolina Style pulled pork sandwich. The Hog Wild Mac N Cheese is phenomenal and a top... pick. The ribs were ginormous and super delicious. Mac N Cheese is the best in Chapel Hill. Hands down, some of the best foodyou will find in Chapel Hill. Andrew (owner) was super kind, accommodating and personable. Great customer service. Lookingforward to going back again soon. It is a must do restaurant if you're in Chapel Hill. Read more

One of my all-time favorite restaurants!! The ribs are some of the best I?ve ever had, and the chicken filet sandwich is 10x... better than Chik Fil-A. Family owned and operated- Andrew cooks everything himself and adds the perfect touches to every dish. His wife makes the most amazing deserts- the banana pudding is out of this world. They make you feel like family when you?rethere. We love coming back here as often as we can! I ate half my green beans before I remembered to take a picture- they weretoo good! Read more

Blues on Franklin is an awesome place for authentic smoked meat. On my first visit, we met the owner, Andrew, and he showed us... the smoker. The smell was amazing but we smelled like smoke by the time we left the restaurant. He sent out some burnt tips forus to try and then I just told him to bring us whatever he recommended. We ended up having some pulled pork, deep fried okra, fantastic curly fries, and other delicious items. We had to go back and on our second visit we got the burnt smoke gifts andbaby back ribs. They were fantastic! As we were leaving, there was a DJ setting up music and I was told it was karaoke night. Iwas going to start it off with the first song of the night but he wasn't quite ready. I think this place would be an awesomeplace for late night but we were there around 5 p.m. before it got busy. Definitely check it out. Our waitresses, Savannah, wasvery knowledgeable and friendly. Strongly recommended! Read more
