Reviews for Banh Mi Kim Lan Vietnamese Sandwiches in Chantilly, VA
Good alternative when I don't want to drive 30-45 minutes to Banh Mi DC or Eden center. I always get friendly & prompt ... service. The lady at the counter is always nice and chatty to me, but she can be quite forgetful of what I'd just ordered, so Imake sure to double check my order before leaving. They have a variety of stuffings, with their Kim Lan sandwich being the mostexpensive Price is about $7-$8+ for 1 banh mi, and there's no 'buy 5 get 1 free' offer like some other places. Best to eatthem fresh or toast them the next day at latest. Their egg rolls, fresh rolls, and desserts are also quite tasty. Read more
Very happy there?s a good banh mi spot out in west Fairfax area! Have ordered a few different occasions and so far, very... consistent. Bread and ingredients are always fresh. Have tried several sandwiches, but favorite are the Cha Lua and Ga. Theyalso have few different varieties of summer rolls (shrimp, grilled/sliced Vietnamese pork, etc)?good alternatives as well. Thereare other items there that I have not tried (pork spring rolls, dessert drinks, etc?). Place is recommended. Give it a try! Read more
Hidden gem close to Dulles Airport. I came here with my two sons, ages 9 and 2.5, after a visit to the close-by Udvar-Hazy... Air&Space Museum. The location is tucked into the middle of a little shopping center. The shop is clean and minimally decorated. We ordered two banh mi (minced chicken and pork), as well as the honeydew flavor green tea with boba and the sugarcanejuice. Banh mi: Major points for their in-house bread, baked to perfection. I felt that the chicken was a bit too sweet, butthis may have been due to the fact that I asked for no jalapeños because of the kids (with jalapeños, the spicy-sweet flavorsmay have balanced well). Drinks: they were DELICIOUS! The sugarcane juice and honeydew were both freshly squeezed, so werefresh, refreshing and very tasty! While not inexpensive ($6.50/each), the portions were generously large, so I felt that I gotmy money?s worth. Two thumbs up from my youngest son, and two enthusiastic thumbs up from me! I highly recommend for a simple, tasty family lunch. Read more
Edit: recently they sold me frozen cold food. It is no longer enjoyable to eat their "banh mi", so I changed from 5 stars to 2... stars. Authentic and delicious, don't be let down by the bland interior or the oblivious attitude of the owner. The food isbetter than several other places. Read more
This is a good place to get your banh mi fix. I've ordered from here several times and the sandwich is consistently good. ... Pricing is fair, veggies are fresh, and the meat is tasty. Once the bread was a little crunchy, not stale though, but thatseems to be the outlier from my experience. Read more
Best Bahn Mi I've had since Vietnam! No frills, simple and delicious Bahn Mis. Pork is sweet and crispy. Chicken is flavorful... and moist. Fresh veggies on a buttery baguette finish off the classic sandwich. If you don't like spice tell them to hold thejalapeños. Try a couple egg rolls too to supplement your meal. You know it's good when local Vietnamese come here all daylong. Read more
This is the new infamous Vietnamese sandwiches- Banh Mi. This place offers very fresh bread baked with delicious butter. The... moment you open the sandwiches wrap, your mouth starts to water. The meat taste fresh and well seasoned. The place is new so itis really clean. If there is any negativity, it would be the price for the sandwiches. The bread loaf is smaller than usual forthe premium price. Giving the economic condition of COVID 19, I am ok with the price to encourage the business to stay open. Read more
My FAVORITE place to get banh mi. Really really good sandwiches, pretty decent drinks, and great prices. I never feel bad about... stopping by and grabbing a grilled pork banh mi and a Vietnamese iced coffee for lunch. The ladies at the counter don't speakgreat English, but the menu is short and transactions are quick and easy. Read more
