This place has great food & I?m really surprised it?s only rated 4.2 stars. My husband & I first tried Tao Garden in 2020 when... it was only open for takeout due to COVID. One of his friends who lived in China for awhile recommended this place & said it wasthe best Chinese food he?s had since then, so of course he set a high bar. ;) I?ve never been to China, however I can vouch thatthis is the best Chinese food I?ve had since moving to Arizona almost a decade ago. Really good food at a reasonable price. That is why Tao Garden has such great reviews. The tofu that was used in the mapo tofu... and hot & sour soup was very tender and made both dishes very light. The salty pepper shrimp was cooked just right. Overall thefood is something that you find at a really good family restaurant, tasty dishes with well balanced flavors and qualityingredients that are not overly greasy. The menu is large and the service is fast. Definitely a place for wonderful home cookedmeals! Read more
Terrible service. Standing at front door for more than three minutes to be assigned the seat. Then no one come to take the order... for 15 minutes. They looks busy but I only see three tables have guest. Walk out with no food. Never come back. Read more
Obviously, there are a lot of Americanized Chinese food places out there. Tao Garden is not that, coming in with the delicious... traditional Chinese food that will please those with a diverse palate. I would recommend coming here and trying something you'venever tried before from a Chinese restaurant, you will be pleasantly surprised. Every dish was flavorful and came out on theperfect cadence. A large amount of rice came with our dishes and free refills of rice are available. The service was great andeveryone here was very friendly. For the amount of food you get, the prices are 100% reasonable and the food is worth everypenny. I will definitely be coming back to try other items on the menu. Go to Tao Garden, and step outside the box of yourtypical dishes. You won't be disappointed! Read more
What wonderful friendly service! This place is the real deal. The food is great and the prices are outstanding. The portions are... large. Try the lunch specials. So much food. So little money. Just ate here. food is always good, we have been coming here for years. since 2009, we had Tracy as our waitress, she has... absolutely no restaurant waitress manners, super rude and just has no respect towards the customers. even with the take outcustomer that taking an order. it?s unfortunate. take care tao garden. we unfortunately will not be returning. service washorrible.
