This place has great food & I?m really surprised it?s only rated 4.2 stars. My husband & I first tried Tao Garden in 2020 when... it was only open for takeout due to COVID. One of his friends who lived in China for awhile recommended this place & said it wasthe best Chinese food he?s had since then, so of course he set a high bar. ;) I?ve never been to China, however I can vouch thatthis is the best Chinese food I?ve had since moving to Arizona almost a decade ago. Really good food at a reasonable price. That is why Tao Garden has such great reviews. The tofu that was used in the mapo tofu... and hot & sour soup was very tender and made both dishes very light. The salty pepper shrimp was cooked just right. Overall thefood is something that you find at a really good family restaurant, tasty dishes with well balanced flavors and qualityingredients that are not overly greasy.
