Discovered Restonra restaurant driving to another destination. Restonra's menus do not contain any pictures!! Unless this is... your native cuisine, eat this type of food regularly or Google the menu selections you would not know what the food is. The foodtastes fairly good; however, I ordered the wrong menu choice. The goat Biryani had too much rice for my liking. Chicken curryand palak paneer were both good. Food is prepared fresh which is great, so expect slower service. Without have pictures in themenu it is unlikely I would visit this restaurant again. Read more
Good food takes a bit to make, but it's worth it. Everything tastes super fresh, the staff is friendly, and the food is... delicious. I ordered the Chicken Tika Masala and it didn't disappoint. I'll probably order ahead next time, since it took abit, love it!! Read more
So finally found a Bengali restaurant in Arizona. I was so excited to taste the food and it ultimately fulfilled my... expectations. Food was very delicious. Each and every items we ordered was freshly prepared and it tasted very good. We wereserved complimentary drinks lassi and singara. The Singara was awesome. I really enjoyed it. Will go there again to try theother items. And thanks to sumana. She was very nice and warm to us. She was asking about our preferences and tried her best tomake our meals according to our wishes. Four of us went here for dinner. I have been waiting for a Bengali restaurant in the valley for a long time, and I wasn't... disappointed. We ordered a combination of three dishes -- Goat Curry, Chicken Curry, Aloo Posto, Shrimp Malai Curry. For a smallcharge, they made the dishes family style and each dish was accompanied by a helping of rice. Overally, I really enjoyed theShrimp Malai Curry the most. The Goat Curry was good, more in the style of a dry kosha mutton as opposed to the the gravy withpotatoes as the name suggests. Service was good and attentive. Food took about an hour to be prepared so be prepared for thewait time if you are dining in. You get some complementary samosas and nuts while waiting. Read more
It was a late afternoon order and service was slow. Staff was very nice and polite, but I had to wait quite a bit for my order.... The staff served me a cool drink and snacks/almonds while I waited. This was an extraordinary gesture. In my 10 yrs in AZ, noother place has been this generous considering the weather we live in. One star for that. Now the food, though tasteful wassmall in quantity/portion size .. a plate of curry would at best just about suffice for one person not more. Two stars more justfor the food which was delicious. Tried this place for the first time, I ordered goat curry and goat biryani, the quantity was enough for the price however the... main aspect i.e. taste was not good at all, at least not upto my expectation. The goat meat had a weird texture and taste andthe curry/masala had a very peculiar taste that did not go down well. Had to throw our most of it. I have had same items atparadise biryani multiple times and that's so much better in both quality, taste and price. Read more
I ve been waiting for this place to open up for a long time as good Indian food, especially authentic Bengali cuisine, is hard... to find. Finally tried their food today and they didn?t disappoint. Food was freshly prepared and flavorful and delicious, thestaff was helpful and welcoming and the restaurant had a good vibe. Will be back soon. P.S. They did take some time to get thefood ready (about 1 hour). So might be a good idea to call up ahead and order if you want to avoid waiting. Read more
The bengali food at Restonra is so delicious! We tried their kacchi, shorshe hilsha. They also served us some shim vorta. All of... the items were very authentic in taste. We called them earlier to pre-order, so that reduced the wait time for us too. The staffis very friendly and cordial. We loved this place. Hopefully we will come again when we visit chandler.
