Jersey Mike's on Chandler Heights and Gilbert Rd. When this location first opened, it was nice & clean, staff greeted you when... you walked in the door. Today when I walked in, the Counter tops looked like they had not been wiped down all day. Lettuce &Tomatoes looked wilted, not fresh at all, I asked the server "Bryce" when was the last time they cleaned the counter tops wherethey prepare your sandwich, and they needed to clean the area where all of the toppings for your sandwich are located. It was atotal sloppy mess !! I explained to Bryce, I asked about when were the counter tops last cleaned, or sanitized, becausestanding on this side of the glass, it almost makes you not want to eat at this establishment. Not a very appealing look. WhenBryce finished preparing my sandwich, Bryce reached over to the left side of the counter for a large knife. I told Bryce,please do not touch my sandwich with that knife, it had dried mayonnaise, dried tomato juice, it was dirty. I told Bryce toleave it whole. I'll cut it when I get home, with a clean knife. The Grill area was unkept, the entire area behind the counterlooked like nobody takes the time to clean during their shift. Bread sitting on top of counter top, crumbs, smeared dried upjuice from the tomatoes. When I was getting ready to pay for my sandwich, I pointed out the dried up lettuce pieces on thecounter top where he sat my wrapped sandwich by the cash register. I paid for my sandwich, and I had to ask for a bag, Brycejust sat my sandwich on the messy greasy counter top. I will not be returning to this Jersey Mike's, this is not the first timeI've gone in, and the place just did not look very clean. I'll go to Jersey Mike's in Gilbert on Williams Field Rd. Across fromthe San Tan Mall, It's always clean, staff is friendly, they take pride in their work space.
