Reviews for Zen in Championsgate, FL
The decor and atmosphere was very nice. The service was also good. Wished the food was better as it was below below average.... The supermarket sushi is better than what we received. Read more
Nice place to eat sushi. We were sited right away but waited about 15 min for a waitress in which we had to go to the front... again to asked for a server to com take our order. The drink I ordered didn?t look like the picture the presentation wascompletely different. Ordered a starter and our sushi and drinks came before the starter we had to ask for it after we hadalready ate our meal. The desert was really good. Read more
Great atmosphere. Low lighting and candles at every table. Wait staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. We went there for... sushi and wine, and were impressed with the quality of both. In fact, it was the best sushi I have ever had. This is definitelygoing to be on our regular rotation. Read more
The Red Dragon roll was awesome! The chicken lo menu portion was big enough for two people. Friendly prompt service.

Atmosphere: The restaurant is set up with a classic Chinese restaurant vibe merged with a Japanese décor. They have areas where... you can have private dining (privacy screens) and you can be as intimate or as social as you want. It took more than 20 minutesfor a wait staff to acknowledge us or offer a beverage so that was unfortunate. Need to know: The days and hours of operationvary so you can?t assume you can walk in for dinner on any given evening. Call ahead. The location is set in the Omni Hotel atChampions Gate. As you enter the lobby head to the left and it is in the corner. Although it serves Chinese food it also offerssushi maki rolls, sashimi and nigiri. I recommend making reservations as the hotel has a lot of conventions. The menu: Chineseand Japanese. They offer a good selection of sushi, sashimi, and nigiri for those who crave the wasabi rush! They offer a ?ZenExperience? which is a fixed price menu. For $69 you can have salad, soup, appetizers, entrees and sides. They also have an a lacarte menu and a child menu. You can build your own Wok dish by selecting your protein, flavors, vegetables, rice or noodles. Wewanted to try as much as we could so we selected Edamame to start, it was not the best and not the worse. Next we had the VeggieLover Roll (burdock, kanpy?, cucumber and avocado) it was excellent, Hunan Dumplings With Peanut Sauce, amazing, Chinese StyleSpare Ribs?the meat fell off the bone and had a crispy outside. For our main course, we ordered Szechuan Style Beef Tenderloin(the meat was so tender it just melted in the mouth) and General Tao?s Chicken, fresh, flavorful, not overly cooked. What Iloved: The flavors of each dish (aside from the edamame) burst in the mouth, there were multiple spices that came alive and madethe food absolutely amazing. The spareribs were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The sushi was fresh and thedumpling was transparent and not overly doughy. What needs improvement: The service was la Read more
Excellent! Good food, perfect service, and right price. Of course we're having the $35 face price dinner, still enough choices... and taste really good, tenderloin melted in the mouth. Sushi and rice are up to standard. Read more
If you are staying at this Omni, Zen is a must. Only reason for 4 stars is the menu was very limited from what I remember the... last time we were here, lots of great items are missing, and it was not easy for everyone in our party to find something theywanted - maybe that is the result of covid, so I want to come back and try it again. That said, everything we had was excellent- sushi was flesh, delicious and creative, apps were great, etc. - zero complaints on quality and taste of food, and if choosingbetween selection vs. quality, I would choose quality every time.
