WOW! What a wonderful place. The food is amazing. However, more importantly, the people are so kind and wonderful. I stopped... by one evening in the middle of an 800-mile drive. I wanted some nourishing food. As a vegan, finding such an option on a roadtrip can be a challenge. I found The Falafel Shack via the Happy Cow app. The food was AMAZING. After I had paid for myorder, when they heard that I was passing through, they made me a falafel wrap to go so I would have something nice to eatduring the rest of my drive. And they didn't charge me for it. Not one cent. I was so, so touched by this gesture. And sothankful that I decided to stop here! Visiting Chambersburg, PA, for the first time and my husband looked for a place for lunch and this came up with high reviews.... Boy, we're glad we stopped by and ate there! Quaint little place with amazing Mediterranean/Middle-Eastern food! All very fresh,in-house made, very well seasoned! Best falafel I've ever had aside from the one I had a decade ago on the streets of NYC! Youwon't be disappointed! Service is friendly, food comes out quickly and the flavors are exquisite! They obviously use freshingredients... We'll certainly be back -- it'll be a field trip for us, as we live an hour and a half away! Read more
It was slow when we came in so it was really personable. Our server was attentive and not annoyingly over checking on us. I got... the lamb chops (seasonal) and my wife got the beef kafta platter. The lamb chops were cooked perfectly, the rice, salad and thepita bread were really good too. The beef kafta was good according to my wife. I tried some of her channa masala and it tastedpretty good, I could eat a whole bowl of it. I highly recommed eating here if you want to support the good tasting, locallyowned restaurants in cumberland valley. Read more
