We recently ordered catering for over 150+ people across 2 shifts (1st shift and 3rd shift). We ordered through ezCater which... was extremely convenient. The food arrived in a timely manner and was HOT! The delivery drivers were helpful and friendly. Seating was on the slow side even though there were many open tables, as no one was in the dining area seating folks. I ordered... a cheeseburger hoagie and a side of Fresh Cut Fries. All around the edge of the burger it was burnt and over-cooked. The frieswere absolutely awful. It was like they were a day old sitting under a warmer. They were way over-cooked and tasted like eatingoverdone cardboard. I understand veg. oil prices are high and you are cutting expenses, but your oil needs refreshed too. Yourfries should be cooked when order is placed, not the day or week before. My wife and I ate here a few weeks ago and it waspretty good, today was horrible and we will not be back. Every staff member that we interacted with, was friendly and accommodating. We ordered the chopped sirloin and the honey fried... chicken. Both were great! They make all of their sauces in-house, and the ones we tried were delicious! My mother enjoyed herchopped sirloin with a side of steamed broccoli (which was perfectly steamed) and a side of coleslaw. The coleslaw had reallygood flavor, but is a course chop slaw, which is great for on bbq sandwiches (and I totally plan on coming back to try that!)Finely chopped slaw is just easier to eat for my mother. My honey chicken was so yummy, I was almost 1/2 done when I rememberedI had some honey bbq sauce to try with it! LOL I loved that it wasn?t encased in a thick layer of guilt-ladened breading. Thefine crispy coating was just right ?? I also had the broccoli and onion rings. I think next time I will ask for the onion ringsto be fried just a little lighter; they were almost overdone. Oh- and we had an order of their corn nuggets- alsodelicious! AND, one more thing, they brought us a couple of freshly baked biscuits with their homemade apple butter. Read more
Added this restaurant to my 'Favorites' in Google Maps today. We had the Brisket and BBQ Chicken. Not too sweet, not too spicy,... but LOTS of flavor. Friendly staff, and their Apple Butter changed both of our minds on what 'good' Apple Butter should be - infact, we took a jar home. This restaurant has a very country décor which is applied cleanly and without random junk screwedinto the wall. Loved it! Will return. Read more
Nice, cozy atmosphere. Everything was great here - the food, service and coffee. We had the Texas Mac, Haddock with green beans... and slice of pecan pie. We could eat the homemade biscuits with apple butter all day! These truckers will be back. Read more
