The first word that comes to mind when my wife suggests Maywood Grill for a meal is FRESHNESS. Don?t let the mild, yet classy,... exterior fool you. While it looks like your standard eatery, it?s far better than that. From the fresh daily made breads/bunsand desserts, to the superb flavor and spins on classics, you will be left amazed that something of this caliber resides on topof hill in Fayette county. Everything is seemingly fresh made from high quality ingredients, with hand made high quality tablesand fixtures for your dining pleasure. I can?t say how refreshing it is to have local, high quality, FRESH and not frozen foodso close to Home. Shown in the photos are the Angry Bird, Linguine Pomadoro with Burrata, and a side of fresh, not frozen, onion rings. Read more

Went here over the weekend with my partner and wasn?t impressed. Employees were not knowledgeable about allergy-friendly options... despite advertising gluten-free buns and pizza(which is actually made in the same oven as regular pizza). I asked a couple oftimes for a salad without croutons due to being gluten-free and it came out with croutons. Ordering took a while due to theformat of waiting in line and then sitting down until food was ready. I also found bones in my chicken sandwich. Adding back astar due to the great location and clean facility, but I don?t plan to return and don?t recommend for anyone with allergies/dietary restrictions as I didn?t feel mine were attended to. My first experience and it was great! Prices are reasonable. I ordered the 2 for $6 lunch and just got a side salad and soup.... You order on the bakery side and they?ll give you a number to place at your table on the dining side as they?ll bring your orderto you. They serve Coke products. Read more

Was not expecting the cafeteria style ordering, though not my favorite, that itself did not affect my choice to give this place... 2 stars. The food was just okay, the potatoes and bacon were very salty, eggs didn't taste so great, but the toast and homemadeham were very good. I wanted to get a single cinnamon bun for my wife, but the person at the counter simply said no and walkedaway. We went to this restaurant because of the reviews and were overall disappointed in the experience. Read more

Wow! Highly recommend this restaurant's breakfast options. Large portions, friendly staff, super clean. Be warned, their ghost... pepper cheese is the real deal. Not that wimpy "fast food" stuff. If you like spicy as I do, definitely give it a try. Read more

If you are on rt 40 near Chalk Hill PA, don't miss the Maywood Grill! Locally sourced food, home baked bread and jams make... meals here especially tasty. The sausage had an incredibly good flavor, and the breakfast potatoes were definitely NOTpackaged. You could see the actual whole potatoes with skin that was cut into eighths. The eggs also had a fresh appearanceand taste! And breakfast was under $10! Read more

We came in to see Laurel Caverns from Tennessee and wanted to enjoy a late lunch at an inexpensive restaurant. Maywood did not... disappoint! We had the homemade chicken dumpling soup and it was the best ever! Their sandwiches are on homemade fresh buns andmelt in your mouth. The onion rings are awesome too. You definitely get your money's worth for some great food. The employeesare very polite and friendly. A great family owned local restaurant I will recommend to anyone visiting this area. Also, theirbakery items look scrumptious and are priced right! Also a baby changer in the bathroom which was cozy and clean. Read more
