Beautiful course. Friendly staff and patrons. Located in a nice shady area.
I live a few miles from this course but never played it until today. What a massive disappointment. The fairways were as hard as... concrete and the greens were so oversaturated it was like walking on a sponge. Whoever "takes care of" this course should befired immediately. I'm sure it's a fine place to play if you've never been to an actual golf course but it's almost as thoughthe owner/management are only concerned about disc golf. What a terrible disappointment. Great time at Laurel Hills - Part of our extended package - Zip (Chip) Dip & Sip!!! Fantastic time all around. Our zip line... experience was guided by the super professional (and hilarious) Fungi (John) and Postman (Jonah). The adventure begins with a4WD massing pre-zip van tour to some great views of the Rogue Valley. Get geared up and learn the secret photo poses prior tostarting leg-day to the zip lines. Time to be thinking of your zip-line code names otherwise we are assured one will beassigned for you. Don't worry, you can change along the way. Death defying (yet completely safe) feats ensue! ABSOLUTE FUN! Your zip line adventure ends with a 4WD van massage to the super friendly Laurel Hills Golf Course. Had a nice lunch, chippedaround, hit at balls the range, and had an epic putting contest while relaxing for the next stage of the adventure. CAUTION(for your outfit) - you will get very wet on the Rogue River. Everyone we met (John) with the Rogue River Rafting crew wasprofessional, entertaining, and very knowledgable about the river. He was able to cue deer, Osprey, and the occasional swimmingturtle whilst issuing paddle commands and guiding our very proficient crew (both of us) through the rapids. We hear that Johnis also the best fishing guide on the river (we will have to come back to test that). Beautiful day on the river, perfectconditions. Extremely fun and safe throughout. A short massing van ride away is the beautiful Del Rio Winery (FYI also thestarting point of the adventure) where we relaxed (and almost dried out) in the garden with a superb wine tasting. Five flightsof their favorite and current offerings. We brought some home! Sarah did a nice job even though we are sure we smelled likewet dogs (happy, wet dogs). Amazing course one of my favorites. Lots of shade and great course!
The staff was excellent and extremely friendly - while the course left something to be desired from a dry climate course. The... grounds were soupy and seemed over watered or poor drainage. Tee boxes are not rotated often enough and requires cleverplacement to find adequate area to teeup. Beautiful part of the country and beautiful course, but grounds crew needs to put inwork. Read more
