While the atmosphere of The Varsity Inn is splendid and parking seems ample that's about where it ends. You'll find that since... COVID they have cut staff to bare bones to the point where you have to order your food at the bar, pay and then they have theaudacity to require you tip for your service before you have even sat down. The service was slow, again because there was oneserver for the whole place on a Friday night no less, and any additional drinks or food had to be ordered at the bar whichcaused a long line and even longer wait times. The pizza was good, not great,it lacked a lot of toppings and was as basic as afast food pizza anywhere in town. The Colorado Chile was tantamount to a can of Stagg Chile partially heated up with only enoughflavor for the upper crust suburban crowd that would dare call themselves locals here. Bar prices were above average but mightas well take advantage of the audience that you have, so good on them. Read more
Great spot for the burbs. You gotta get the pizza when you go. They seem to do all the normal burb things. Trivia night, etc...
We call this place our "Cheers" like the old school TV show. Love it! Always have a good time!
They have the ticket! Great Sunday football spot. Limited menu, but juat stick with the burger. An array of video games to... distract kids while you watch football. But small enough the kids cant get lost. Read more
Done a lot of business here since coming out if the pandemic. Had a few hangs watching the recent Av's run and title... championship, large parties of 20, and date nights. The food, drinks, and service has always been great. The pizza is great andwings even better. Feels like a real neighborhood spot. Read more
Really decent neighborhood bar. Lots and lots of TVs all over the place so if there are multiple games playing at once, you can... likely find yours. Good selection of can and draft beers and a really competent wait staff. There are about 20 or so arcadegames with lots of classics (Ms PAC Man, Paperboy and so on). Above average food with the usual bar fare and pizzas too. Goodfor groups with a variety of seating - booths, large square tables, a few high tops. There was a recent remodel that expandedthe patio/deck so there's a lot of outdoor seating. Read more
Nice hangout for locals to get good food and great beer. Like the Warrior Pizza with fresh and tossed perfect thin crust. The... cheese was great and lots of garlic which I like but may not appeal to everyone. Toppings were not overwealming but probablymost thin crust can handle. Beer was served in cold glass and was excellent. Only bad thing was very limited menu and no Nachoswhich is a first for me at a bar. Read more
Lots of fun playing pool, eating pizza and drinking draught beer! Their small pizza is great for one person or two if you're not... real hungry. The large is really large! Read more
