Dickey's was one of my go-to places for a long time, but it seems they've kinda fallen far off the track. Ordered a 2 meat... plate, brisket and sausage, with beer cheese fries and texas toast. The meat was mostly okay, just completely cold - whichcould be just extra time it took the driver to get here. But what I received instead of texas toast was a square brisket drierand more tasteless than a communion wafer, and my 'beer cheese' fries were free floating in the bag with only a paper wrapper,and no beer cheese. I get $20 doesn't go far anymore, but this was pretty depressing. Since I'm busy with work and pretty muchevery restaurant around here has let Grubhub/Doordash corner them out of providing their own cost-effective delivery I *HAVE* toinclude the cost, so at nearly $40 a plate, this isn't really a good value. I work, extremely hard, getting away to drive outand get food isn't a possibility today, so this is what I get. Read more
This restaurant is in violation of health department codes one being improper food handling and two being improper food storage!... The employees were not wearing gloves while handling the food.The food looks like it has been sitting out for days. When tryingto talk to the manager she was slurping on an ice cream cone and said the employees are supposed to wear gloves and he was new.As I was trying to discuss this with the manager she rudely disregarded me and walked away. The employees were cussing on theline while they were serving us in front of our children as well. It was 95 degrees in the restaurant and there were tons ofbugs and fly?s landing on the food and our table. Quite frankly the overall cleanliness of this restaurant is disgusting. I wish there was a negative star rating you could give places. When I walked in, there was only one table that was occupied in... the whole restaurant. It was dark inside, despite it being sunny outside. This review is more about the food, than it is thecustomer service. Which wasn't all that great, but the food was even worse to the point of making me literally sick as a dog!!So I couldn't finish my food, and didn't think it was the food making me feel bad. The next day I gave my leftovers to mypartner, she ate it, and she felt sick, and the next day, she spent in the bathroom, coz she ate way more of it, then I. I'vetried Dickey's all over Colorado and it's all the same the meats burnt it doesn't look good it doesn't taste half as good as therestaurant smells so I wouldn't recommend anyone spending a dime in any of the Dickey's because they're better barbecuerestaurants out there. P. S. And don't let me get started on how much FAT are on those ribs!! If I wanted to eat FAT, I wouldhave bought BACON, but I bought ribs, and I expected to eat MEAT and not FAT. The food was awesome! I haven't left a restaurant this fat and happy in a long time. The ribs were so tender I was taking them... down to the bone in 2 bites. The brisket and hot links were fantastic too. The soft serve we had after dinner reminded of thehome made ice cream we used to make when I was a kid. Read more
I don?t like to leave bad reviews as I normally only leave compliments, but this place needs attention and help. 1st is... disgusting inside. Needs a full cleaning. $15 2meat 2 side plate with water should result in a better meal than I just had. Ihave to say the biggest issue is the BBQ. It is not fresh. I would guess days old and heated in a steam tray. Brisket was betterthan pork but still not good. Just mushy meat. No bite left in it. BBQ shouldn?t be gray. Sauce kept in a steamer was also notfresh. Looks like it gets reheated continuously. If you own this location, you should come in here and inspect it. This place looks like it's abandoned! Put in a order online and it never updated. So I drove down there and it was locked up.... Sign out side says "pick up orders for door dash and grub hub only" . Went to the drive through and told them my name. Theyhanded me a luke warm, soggy plastic bag. Did not have my full order in it and all the food looked like yesterday's trash. Ribswere only bones, no meat on them. Brisket was not sliced, just flakes of meat. First time going to Dickies, never going back. Mydaughter says the only thing good here was the bread. Spent $60. Our wait person was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. We were going to go to a chain restaurant in the area, but... once we saw how crowded it was we opted for Dickey's instead. We were so glad we made t g at choice. We both had hamburgersthat were juicy and delicious. No comparison with the paper thinness of the other place. Read more
