The food was really good and the price was outstanding. We visited after Church services on Sunday and I had the Country Fried... Steak and Gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, and Squash Casserole and it was all very good. Read more

This was a unique place and the food was good. I've never seen an eatery that brought you strips of paper with what they are... serving and you circled what you wanted, put your name at the top and that's how you ordered. The only thing I didn't like wasif you circled a dessert they brought it out at the same time and my strawberry shortcake was a little soggy, otherwise all wentgreat and will definitely go back when I'm in the area. The avenue is a 10/10, 5 stars, top notch, all of the above. I never much cared for home style southern cooking at restaurants,... however the Avenue does an amazing job and i have had probably 10 of their main dishes repeatedly and i have never beendissatisfied or even had one single complaint. Its a great place to get you some meatloaf, country Fried steak, or any othertypes of Southern cooking with sides like Mac and cheese, green beans, lots of other peas and beans, and just a great selectiondon't miss out. Food was very good giving reason for the large crowd on Sunday. I still got right on and the service was friendly and spot on. ... I had a meat and 2 sides, plus a cheesecake. They give you a sheet to pick your meat, sides and desert. I asked for half andhalf tea and it was perfect. A lot of places mess up my tea request. Read more
