I would expect to find Rodina in NYC or Seattle. We're lucky to have such a unique and tasty offering here in Cedar Rapids. I've... visited for dinner but most recently brunch. My wife and I split the French Toast and Shakshuka which was a perfect sweet +savory breakfast. The coffee is local from Dash Coffee Roasters, I believe I had 3 cups. The space is warm and the owners kind. We'll be back! Read more

This place was heavenly! A few of my co-workers/friends and I went. We all enjoyed our food and atmosphere very much! The waiter... was also so kind and fun. I love to ask the waiter to bring me anything in the menu that is spicy and he played along! Read more

Good: Delicious drinks, great deals for happy hour. Appetizers. Staff is awesome and servers are great. Good service. Bad: This... is the second time I visited Rodina and the second time I was very disappointed by the main course. I ordered a pasta with wildboar sauce dish (forgot the name) which was so extremely salty I have no idea how anyone can serve it. I mentioned that to theserver, she said she will mention it to the chef and that is all they did about it. Pretty dissatisfied with that part, but atleast the appetizers and drinks were delicious. Everybody else in our party were satisfied with the food, so it's a hit or miss.I would come back for happy hour and appetizers, but never again for dinner. Read more

Visited on a lady Sunday afternoon, to see about 5 tables active. The staff are lovely. I had the shakshuka, but was... disappointed. It was a much more watery version closer to a soup, and had difficult holding flavor beyond light tomato. Thepeppers were strips about 5 inches long, which was a little less than ideal. I ordered a corpse reviver number two, but couldn'tsmell or taste any absinthe. Read more

Not one to leave reviews, However The impression Rodina left on us was too fantastic not to share. The Food and service were... incredible!! Such a gem to have as part of Cedar Rapids. We were able to sit on the patio and watch the food be made from ourseat. Made us appreciate the artistry of their cooking. We can?t wait to come back! Not shown in the images are the amazingcocktails and dessert that you can?t pass up on! Read more

Dined here the last two nights. Outstanding service with fresh takes on timeless dishes including steak pom frites, bucatini... with crushed tomatoes, lamb carpaccio, and fried sourdough. Delicious desserts including freshly made madeleines and ?bumpy?cake accompanied by a vintage 2011 port from the heart of the Douro Valley, Quinta de la Rosa! The bartender serves uniqueinterpretations of Manhattan?s, Rusty Nails, etc. All diners in our parties were most pleased. Read more

Great atmosphere and service. Menu is different than online so come open minded. The half chicken had great flavor. The pork... skewers were good as well, with a little kick from the chili sauce. Grain salad was interesting. Liked the flavor but a littletoo much grain for me. Overall I?d recommend for anyone looking for a unique evening and adventurous palette wanting somethingunique.
