The staff are quick and friendly. They are going through some renovations or something, but doesn't disrupt the flow of service.... I was shocked how fast their kitchen got our food out. The portion sizes are absurd, I am not sure how they make any money withthe cost of the plate. That's not a bad thing, but I'd have paid the same for half the amount and been happy. Since initial review in 2020, Mas Margaritas has become our Mexican restaurant of choice and we eat there often. High quality... on food items, excellent chips & salsa and service. Currently expanding indoor seating area and moving the bar location. Theoutdoor seating area has also been increased since 2020. Still a 5 star rating. 06-20-20. Wife ordered burrito bowl & Iordered the enchilada Mexicana and we both loved our selections! The chips and salsa were awesome as well. We had ordered pickup twice before and had been pleased with our orders. This was our first time eating in. We arrived around 3:00 and were ableto sit outside and maintain social distancing. By far the best fajitas ever!!!! I took a picture of the name of the fajitas I got. I wasn't to hungry so I split them and we... still had leftovers! Was recommended to us and we noticed always busy, so let's give it a try!! Think we found our new favorite Mexican spot! We... didn't know we madenit for Happy Hour, so jumbo margaritas half off, but maybe double tequila:p. Chips were thin and crispy,great salsa, nice heat. Best carnitas and chorizo tacos I have had In a long time. Rolled quesadilla was good, salad in middlefresh and tasty. Guacamole was good, I recommended getting the large. We give this a 4 star overall. However, our wait was a little over 45 minutes to get our food from time of ordering. With that... out of the way. The margaritas were strong! The queso was amazing! The chips were fabulous. I highly recommend the spicy salsayou have to ask for (most places have a spicier salsa, but you need to request.) Overall the experience was good. Just the waiton food was awhile, clearly the kitchen was backed up. I would still recommend. Definitely Some of the better Mexican food inCedar Rapids area. Read more
Certainly won't go again. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Ordered a margarita. Received it with no salt & a bug floating in it. My server... gave me several excuses as to why it happened. I really think that if they already knew it was an issue why didn't they correctthe problem ???? Took a long time to get it replaced. My order was requested with no cheese sauce, of course it was covered. Itfelt like a school cafeteria. Noisy & very loud! Couldn't even carry on a normal conversation. By the time I did get my order,my dinner companions were finished with their meals. So even though I had company for drinks & dinner it felt like I dinedalone. Not a good experience at all.
