It?s wild that I haven?t been here before today, but I throughly enjoyed my experience at LP Street Food! I had several Whiskey... Sours, incredible appetizers (Pizza Pocket thinger and pretzel), and dang good entrees (Steak special, lettuce wraps, black beantacos, and -not pictured- ramen.) I normally don?t have additional toppings on my steak, as I?m a salt and pepper guy; however,I knew going in this was topped from their FB post. The steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Though I?m not converted tosteak toppings, I certainly enjoyed this steak! Great special! The potatoes and asparagus were delicious as well! Apart fromthe food, we just really enjoyed the experience. I normally hate not being able to make a reservation at places, but here youget the buzzer and get served drinks/apps from the patio by the fire. I have heard about LP Street foods so many times. It started with my wife showing me pics of igloos for a unique experience they... were offering. Today we were close by and decided to try it out. Customer service We were greeted and seated pretty quickly.Our waiter checked in with us in a couple of minutes and advised us on her favorites. Thus one of the reasons I ordered theGyro. Location setting feel The location has a good bit of parking in the front, street, and backside of the establishment.When you look out from the front, you can see they have a pretty large patio where they offer some of the menu items and havespecific times they start serving food. Dogs are welcome on the patio :)! LP Street Foods is a bit of a louder location; wethought it perfect for having the kids along :). Food I love that they make different types of foods from all over the globe,and it seems they do a pretty darn good job. Chimichurri steak and grits This dish was pretty good when it comes to taste; thesteak was ordered medium rare and came out that way but was quite chewy (hoping and thinking that was a one-off, the meatquality looked great). Gyro I loved the Gyro, and I think next time, I will ask for a side of the tzatziki sauce. The meatitself comes directly from a fresh cone they have in the back and was terrific! Chicago Dog It was a quality hot dog. It wasHUGE, really was a foot long; the boys split that, and it was served with two buns due to length, so that worked outperfectly. Ramen I like the dish's flavor and the overall taste of the Ramen. The broth is served on the side, so you can mixas you please. Poutine Everyone loved this, and all decided when we come back again, we will order it as a starter forsure. It's a must try place!! Been here on several occasions.. everything we've tried on the menu has been great, drinks..great.... Fantastic, friendly and knowledgeable staff that works hard at making this place wonderful!!! Fun atmosphere and decor insideand outdoor patio that's just as comfortable as inside. I had not been since they remodeled. The booths are bigger which is great! The prices were a little steep ($80 for three of us... with 1 drink with alcohol and the others were soda) but it was fun and the menu was different than most local places. We willdefinitely be back. Read more
