Came to Cedar Rapids on a business trip, I realized that it wasn't a lot of places to eat on the strip that I was on! Their sign... caught my eye because I'm a trucker! Walked in the place and was greeted by the own with a warm smile, enough of the small talklet's get to the meat and potatoes of this review. I ordered the " chef special " BBQ Brisket, mac'n cheese with searedbroccoli. The brisket is smoked in house and the mac'n cheese is homemade! We've eaten here twice now, breakfast and then lunch. Both times food and service were excellent! The breakfast waitresses were... working so hard I wanted to get up and help! For breakfast I had corned beef & hash (excellent). I want to try the breakfastburrito & biscuits and gravy. The diner is small 10+ tables and booths. The atmosphere is homey. The food and service is greatand the prices reasonable. We've been back several times now. My wife is in love with the chicken & waffles and I am quiet fondof the biscuits & gravy along with a couple eggs. Read more
Food is ALWAYS on-point! They get busy on weekend breakfasts, but stick it out; they do a pretty good turnaround. Highly... recommend the corned beef hash and Reuben; they make and slice their own corned beef. ???? The food was reasonably priced and very good! It was a very nice day and they kept the door open which was very appreciated and... refreshing. The food came pretty quickly and was nice and hot. Best breakfast I've had in cedar rapids, by far. Country fried steak is actually cut and hand breaded there, not pre made frozen... like everywhere else in town. Read more

Hands down my favorite spot for breakfast on Sunday mornings. The scratch kitchen kicks out awesome comfort foods. The pancakes... are to die for. The atmosphere is small Cafe with regulars. The wait staff is on top of their game. The only downfall is thelack of seating because it's always packed. Definitely worth the wait. Read more
