Went there for the 1st time and the messed up our order. We did not even get the extra things ordered and paid around $50. I... messaged them about it and the response was defensive and could not even apologize. I would rather drive to Al?s in Chicago theneat at this establishment. Sometimes you need to just make it right! Especially when someone spends this much for sandwiches.You have all the excuses for your mistakes but what about the customer. If I took the time to message you and say we did not getwhat we ordered and I live out of town, make the order right! Not just replace an item or 2. You messed up the order. Very nice place. You can tell the owner made this restaurant in memorance of his daughter. Her pics are beautifuly displayed.... You also get the big city feel as soon as you walk in. I thought the food was good. Maybe just a tad but pricey but good. There could have been more meat for the price. Especially... considering we went to the new Italian Beef spot in Newbo and the sandwich was huge, nearly 30% larger. Read more
Very good food and good service, would be 5 stars but the cheese sauce is a big part of the meal for us and they run out of it... sometimes. The cheese sauce is crucial. I have worked as a kitchen manager and understand that this is the way it goessometimes. Read more
Great Italian beef sandwiches, wet or dipped completely. Spicy and/or sweet peppers, and cheese optional. I only get Italian... beef as it is so good. Eventually I might try some others but haven't found a reason to yet. Update: I still love this place.Glad to see they are still around. Read more
It?s the only place I know of in CR to get a legit Chicago Italian beef, so I support Gianna?s full stop. The beef is the real... deal. I haven?t tried the Chicago dog yet, but I see the Vienna Beef sign in the window so I presume it?s authentic as well.But: a few suggestions. First, it takes a while for the food prep. I get it, this ain?t McDonald?s - quality takes time. But, ifyou?re making folks wait (especially with counter service) then give them folks a number and bring it out. Take a cue fromChick-fil-a. It?s a small thing that would make a big difference. Second, if you ask for a tip when I ring up (usingcredit/debit) I?m more likely to do it if you bring the food out. Just a thought. Read more
