I will reserve 5 stars for repeat visits. We were hesitant because my daughter had visited previously and the service was very... slow (though they warned them they were short staffed that evening so....) This was my first visit and as a life long Indianfood lover I must say it is now easily my favorite Indian food in Cedar Rapids and IC. We ordered the perennial Butter Chickenand the chicken Tikka kabobs. Yes, nothing too adventurous this visit (though we're not averse to that, we are an ethnicfamily). Out of the numerous Butter Chickens I've had (including home made...I keep a decent Indian spice supply) this is myfavorite. They are using much more tomato than typical which gives it a more complex flavor. I don't order Butter Chickenbecause I like to try different things, but this is something I would order. The Tikka kabobs were very tasty. They werecomplimented well by the mint chutney which was just right. My only critique would be that I would have liked it even more withdark meat (but I know that is not what most Americans want) and MORE onions please! Naan was good as was the rice. Excellentmango lassi. And finally, a place with at least some effort in atmosphere. Some decorations, actual Indian musicplaying......it makes a difference. We are going back. Good service too.....please keep it up. So many places are hit andmiss, keep up the hits. Read more
Food for the most part was phenomenal. The rice was slightly over cooked but was still really good. We got the kebab platter and... paid extra for the sharing extra plate option. What was depicted in the picture looked a lot bigger than what was given to us.The proportions were small and did not justify the hefty $23 for chicken and rice and salad. Over priced for small portions butwas tastefully delicious Read more
Loved the atmosphere and along with the delicious food and drinks! The mango margarita was delicious and my girls loved the... rice and naan (we are working up to curry ????). My husband and I enjoyed the thali platter and an appetizer. Can’t wait totry more things Read more
Delicious! We'll go back for sure. The Thali platter allows you to sample a variety of dishes. My friend ordered chicken curry,... my husband chicken kebab. We enjoyed it. Flavors ranged from smokey to curries with depth. Service was good even though theywere short-staffed. Negatives: The chicken in my curry was dry and hard. They skimp on rice, and I found the Naan to be cold andlimp. Medium heat means spicy (I like some heat). The mano margarita was too chunky for a blended drink. Floor under raised bedswas not very clean and booth seats are stained. Read more

Absolutely overrated. The food was labeled as "Indian street food", most appropriate tagline would be "whitewashed Indian food".... The servers did not know the food and what went into it. I was hoping the servers can explain the food to the eaters. I will goback there, I drove 1hr to come to eat here. This place was a letdown for me. The food taste and flavor were mediocre. Advice tothe owners is to please stay authentic to the flavors. Read more
