We ordered shrimp and broccoli combo, shrimp egg foo yung combo, shrimp lo mein, crab ragoon, and fried chicken wings. Not much... flavor in anything but the shrimp and broccoli was the best of what we tried, although it was in a red sauce which I've neverseen. EFY gravy tastes like straight flour. Lo mein was ok but the few shrimp in it were could've cooked for another minute orso. Wings were fried crispy as requested but were yellow, extremely bland and oddly shaped, seemed hacked up versus cut at thejoints. The lady that took the order and atmosphere was nice but I wouldn't eat there again. Read more

Large portions, great flavors. The Rice noodle was excellent. Perfectly fried chicken pieces for sweet & sour.

Okay, maybe I'm just a poor college student looking for a cheap bite, but this is awesome! It always feels like I'm cheating on... the place back home. I'm a bit of a picky eater, so I just get the sweet and sour chicken. Don't let the building put you off -give it a shot! Read more

Food is good, a bit much on the sodium. I ordered the chicken noodle soup. Tasted as is it was from a can. Egg rolls were good.... My wife had the steamed veggies with chicken. Big portions. Not a bad place but needs a renovation, very dark. Read more

I have had Chinese food in New york, San Francisco, Colorado, Hong kong, Shanghai, London and Paris. The rice was super salty... and the meal and its entirety was really low on flavor. Kind of like when you buy frozen broccoli and try and turn it intosomething edible. Sorry folks but I was really looking forward to a tasty Chinese meal. Now I'm having a tomato and onionsandwich instead Read more

Ordered sweet and sour pork. The sweet and sour sauce itself was cold, watery, and lacking flavor. My wife ordered chicken and... broccoli and the vegetables were overcooked and mushy. Simply disappointed. Read more

The man at the counter who took my order was cheerful and friendly. My order was a take-out and so I was pleasantly surprised... that it was still steaming hot when I ate it 20 minutes later. I ordered the lunch special which comes with the option of aspring roll or a can of soda. I opted for the spring roll which was crispy and tasty. I had the chicken in garlic sauce whichhad no garlic taste to it in my opinion. The chicken fried rice was dry and crunchy. I honestly wasn't impressed. The 3 starsare for the tiny tasty spring roll and the friendly man who took my order. Read more

The new location at 1st Ave and 14th St is open and awesome. Some of the former Xavier's is preserved including the big booths.... Windows, decor and music are added. Their food is always good and prepared fast at a fair price. Most always order crab Rangoon, fried rice, then an additional something new, always good. Read more
