My husband and I were there tonight celebrating our anniversary and our experience was incredible. Tony went above and beyond.... He helped with questions and recommendations and was so attentive. The food was amazing, cooked to perfection with the bestflavors. We started with the zeppole.. didn?t last long. You can?t go wrong with dough, garlic, cheese and marinara. So good. Ihad the Al forno with Italian sausage added. The pasta was fresh and so full of flavor. Chili spice with a yummy mascarponecream sauce. Sausage paired perfectly and had the best texture. My husband had the lasagne and raved about it. To top it all offthe drinks and cheesecake were also fantastic. Couldn?t ask for a better experience.. so happy we chose to come back for anotheranniversary celebration. We will be back! Read more
We have been wanting to try BARI for quite some time. We wanted to eat local today and use our BARI gift card we had been... hoarding, so my husband called and made a reservation right after work for 8:15pm. We made it right on time, and we were seatedright away. The atmosphere was very relaxing and more upscale, but we didn't feel out of place wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Themenu was smaller than we had anticipated, but the variety was epic. We had the grilled sourdough with whipped ricotta for anappetizer (I could have just ate a whole plate of this for dinner), my husband had the lasagna (he rated it right up there withhis all-time favorite lasagna recipe that his mom makes lol), and I had the alfredo with added chicken. I had originally wantedto try the housemade egg noodle dish, but they were sold out for the evening. Our meals did not disappoint! The flavors wereincredible. Tony was very prompt and communicative during our meal as our server. He served us a delicious tiramisu to share fordessert. We are so happy we FINALLY went! Lilian gave us a truly unforgettable experience. It was my coworkers and I first time in Cedar Rapids and we stumbled upon Bari.... The place is absolutely gorgeous and we were so lucky to have Lilian as our server. She explained the offerings and made us feelwelcomed. Her hospitality was unmatched. My girl friend and I didn?t know anything about BARI except for the photos and reviews. We decided to try it. The atmosphere was... perfect for date night. The staff was great and our waitress was the best. She recommended a beer that was excellent. I will saythe wait time for our food was longer than expected and they weren?t busy. We didn?t mind too much because of the amazingatmosphere. My girlfriend got the salad and a dish of yams. She thought it was delicious. I ordered the lasagna. Unfortunately Iwasn?t impressed. It tasted like they dumped a shaker of salt on it and the flavor just wasn?t there. Needless to say I didn?tfinish it.
