This was our first visit. The food was good and so was the service. There was live music (guitar) which was nice but loud for a... place that is so small. With only a few tables, it lacks the ambience of other restaurants. However, the burger and fries wereexcellent! The chili is hot, too hot for me but my husband enjoyed it. We will be back. It's now one of my favorite places toget a burger in the East Mountains. We look forward to warmer weather for outdoor dining. Read more

New to the area, very excited that this is one of the nearby options. We got burritos, breakfast for my wife and carne asada... for me. The chili was delicious, great kinda fusion of Mexican/New Mexican/California styles. It was very busy but they movedquick, I was impressed. Can't wait to go back! Read more

It's always a good sign when you see a local roadside dive with a full parking lot. This one did not disappoint. It is a great... place to stop on Route 14, the "turquoise highway" from Albuquerque to Santa Fe, before you get to the touristy portion atMadrid and beyond. The loaded taco appetizer was sooo delicious, and enough to feed two. The chicken mole was superb. Serviceand help with the menu at the counter were pleasant and helpful. The beer selection was very good. We sat outside on a pleasantday. Read more

This small place in the East mountains is unassuming but it is probably one of my favorite Mexican restaurants I?ve been to in... NM. Their margaritas are especially good, being served in clay glasses with a rim of chili spiced salt (great combo) but thereal star are the Nachos. After doing some soul searching I think these are the best Nachos I?ve ever had. I don?t really knowwhat else to say. They?re now my gold standard for what nachos can be. They make their own chips and these alone are a huge cutabove most other places, they?re thick but not tough: they?re perfectly crunchy and salty and crisp. That might be the secret. But they load them up with some queso and then beans, melted cheese, quality ground beef, sour cream and guacamole, and freshslices of jalapeño which add a great fresh crunch and spice, and lettuce. It?s just something you have to try if you likenachos, or maybe even if you don?t. 5 stars for the nachos alone, but everything else we?ve had there was very good as well. Read more

Great service, price and food. If your looking for good Mexican style cooking, this is the place. It's hard to find a good... Mexican style restaurant, look no further than here. It's small but they have nice outdoor seating too. Read more

This is a great East Mountain must-have. Their food is made with heart, and is always delicious. Though I can take the heat,... they bring the spice down because they listen to their community and its needs. Regardless, the food is great, the staff isalways kind, patient, and helpful. Truly a little gem on the Turquoise Trail. I'll be back often. Read more
