I write this not-so-stellar review not to deter people from the restaurant, (because it is pretty good) but as feedback to the... owners. I feel the quality of the food has gone down. My burger was small and very plain. Maybe I ordered wrong, but shouldn'tevery menu item be awesome? I also got onion rings that were fairly good, but I felt like I didn't get enough compared to what Ipaid for them. I think I got 5 or 6 is all. Read more
Oh my goodness! I loved Top Spot as a kid and was sad when they closed while I was living out of state! Now they're back and... they are awesome! I had a double cheeseburger that was SO good and the fries... Oh my goodness the FRIES were amazing! Theplace is bright, clean and the staff is awesome and helpful! We've been coming here for years for vanilla ice... Best treat in Cedar! They have redone the inside since opening back up a... while ago, and it is really nice! They did a great job modernizing it and cleaning it up! The food was fine, but we'll probablyjust stick with the vanilla ice. Read more
I have eaten at the top spot thru all of the series of management. Recently my son and I were in Cedar and didn't want to care... about eating healthy and decided to go to the Top Spot. LOVED IT. My son had the double cheeseburger and I had the pastramisandwich, and onion rings. I dunked each one in the fry sauce and washed it down with a beverage from their drink selection thatwas ample. The service was great the food was tasty and it was wonderful to walk out to my car and see the familiar cow on topof the restaurant. Read more
Added 2 years later: Top Spot just keeps getting better. Some of my fondly-remembered sandwiches may be gone, but they've added... hush-puppies, with a great savory-spicy flavor. We prefer them to fries, as a side for our sandwich orders. Still have theexcellent salads; one of my buddies prefers the BBQ Chicken salad, while I usually opt for the Asian Chicken salad. Two othervarieties are available, too, but they all come with meat in them. For a vegetarian salad, order either chicken salad with"don't cut the chicken" and "set the chicken up To Go." Then you get the salad base without meat in it. Original review: Thislocal place was closed for a long renovation, but was fondly remembered by our new neighbors here, so we were excited to seethem reopen. Fortunately, the recommendations weren't hype. The burgers and shakes are tasty and not over-priced, fries arewell-made, and there are salads and vegetarian options on the menu. The outstanding item, though, is a "scone," which in Utahmeans something more akin to a burger-sized Yorkshire pudding than to a low-soda biscuit. An order is two scones in a packetwith honey-butter, but they don't need any extra flavor; they're savory with a pleasant texture and mouth-feel. Yum! NOTES: Forbest service, don't arrive in the lunch hour -- a high school is three blocks away, and the place is noisy and full then. Theposted menu doesn't always correspond with what is served. Three invitingly-described salads are not (yet) available, and the"Crew's Creation" lists cheese which it does not come with, but not lettuce, which it does. Read more
Best burger I have had in a very long time. I highly recommend the Dino Burger and some chicken strips.
Top spot is a hidden gem on Main Street in Cedar City. My husband and I came in and everyone was friendly. The place is clean... and well maintained. We loved how there is a Coke and Pepsi machine. Fun little retro spot in Cedar City! It was less than $30 to feed four of us. My spouse's jalepeno burger wasn't the best, but... everything else was yummy. I got the BBQ turkey and swiss and it was delicious! The fries were really good too. Look for theblack and white cow on the roof! Read more
