Reviews for Kalamata Pita in Cazenovia, NY
Great food and portions, I get the Kalamata Pita fully loaded and it's soooo good, worth every penny!
It was my first time there after hearing about it for a long time. The employees were nice. The spanokopita spread was the best... part of the entire thing. Sadly the tzatziki sauce was over-peppered and took away from everything in the rice bowl to the pointthat I couldn't finish it. Definitely should have tried the sauce before expecting it to be similar to what I had tasted otherplaces. Otherwise the fries were good and as I said in the beginning, the spanokopita spread was amazing! Read more
I?ve been lucky enough to have the opportunity to travel and experience a multitude of different Greek eateries. Some more... pleasant than others, and unexpectedly, this establishment sunk to the bottom of the list as if there was a boulder pulling itdown. I read so many great reviews of this establishment and my only conclusion can be the positive reviews are from people whodon?t know any better. I ordered simple curly fries, in which they must be stored in a salt mine. After one bite I thought Imight have to be transported to a hospital for severe dehydration. Lastly, I ordered a lamb gyro, unexpectedly what I receivedwas a soggy Greek salad on some pita bread. Never in my life have I ever seen food so wrong. It is a shame and a disgrace to allauthentic Greek establishments for this place to assume such a title as a Greek eatery. ?Chopped up? iceberg lettuce with twoWHOLE peppers drowning in ? tzatziki? sauce with one massive centered glob of overly saturated feta cheese. Covered in a mix ofblack and kalamata olives. My advice is before you decide to eat here, a better option might be to go online, look for anauction site, look for old booths from Ponderosa and eat whatever crumbs remain in the cracks and seams. I guarantee thatexperience will be much more pleasing. Read more
We had a Greek salad, a gyro and spiraled french fries We ordered the fries with no salt, they arrived with salt. Our server... brought us another order without salt. The potatoes are spiralized right on the.premises fresh. The Greek salad was good, but alittle pricey for the count you get ($10). Lots of chunks of feta cheese on it. The gyro was basically the Greek salad on apita. Service was friendly. Quaint surrounding with a small row of vintage hardwood booths. Also a couple of tables and somecounter seating by the window. Amazing! Fresh delicious food & great portions. Lamb gyro is my favorite and Kalamata Pita's is hands down best I've ever had.... It literally comes with a full size fresh Greek salad on top. Their zatziki sauce is delicious and this might sound silly but Ilove the way they slice the cucumbers! They go perfect in the Gyro Read more
Ok these fries are amazing! I?m a French fry connoisseur and these are Soooooo good! Very similar to the curly, fresh peeled... ones you get at the fair. I had the hummus salad, very fresh with generous toppings, very hearty! I was surprised that Icouldn?t finish. Don?t be deceived by the size of the container, when I lifted it out of the bag I was like whoa this is heavy.Everything was delicious! Others got the falafel pita and said everything was fresh and delicious. This was surprisingly ourfirst visit but we will be back! Read more
Really great Greek food. The menu isn't huge, but this place is also only run by 2 super friendly people. The things that are... on the menu are fantastic. The gyros were pretty large, the grape leaves were fantastic, the hummus was really good, and ourkids loved their fresh cut curly fries. They offer easy online ordering with quick pickup options.
