Waited in the drive-thru for 10 minutes before being acknowledged. He said go ahead with your order. I said my order. He didn't... confirm my order. I said, hello, hello did you get my order. Another 10 minutes. I beep my horn, still no acknowledgment. Fewminutes later, He then told me go ahead with my order. I said my order yet again and by this time he's playing games as if hecouldn't hear me. So I pull up to the window he asked me again what was my order, repeated my order, he then ask the cook, Iguess, if they had chili they said yes. I ordered a large chili with two cornbreads. He gives me my order and says we only haveone cornbread. I received a vegetable soup, two Cornbreads and two rolls. I've been eating here for at least a decade and have always loved it until now. They must have hired a new cook because every... single item I got was terrible. Country fried steak was hard and dry, not to mention half the portion I usually get. The Mac andcheese had some kind of new slimy "cheese" and tasted rancid. Oh my the breakfast here is completely delicious!!! Mrs April was our waitress and she was great! I had the sampler which... included sausage patty, bacon and the best country ham I've had in a while! I would definitely recommend this place to anyonewanting to make your stomach smile!! Read more

The quality of the food is never an issue. Its good. This is a go-to place for weeknights. But... There are over THIRTY tables... and on MANY weeknight visits, there have been only TWO waitresses working. When we got there, it was around 6:30 pm. They had asection of about 10 tables closed off. There were customers at about 7-8 tables. There was ONE clean table for us to choose tosit at. The entire time we were there, neither of the two teenage waitresses cleaned a single table off that had stacks ofplates and glasses just as if the customers just left them. We've seen this too often for it to be chalked up to "someone calledin sick". Even with the lack of customers, I had to go to the front counter to ask for a side item I'd ordered but didn't get.Our waitress came through twice after bringing our food (going to other tables) but never looked our way, so i couldn't get herattention to ask for my item. We continue to return on weeknights because we enjoy the food and usually the service, too. Read more
