It was terrible from beginning to end. Owner seemed extreme arrogant and pompous. He turned a young couple away from a table due... to "Reservations", and literally "shooed" them away from the seats....only to then seat 3 more tables WITHOUT reservations a fewminutes after turning them away. There were several tables that witnessed him do this. The only reason I didn't speak up or sayanything to him in that moment is because I knew my husband and I were never coming back to this establishment, and I didn'tthink it would be received well by him. They don't serve anything but water, wine, beer or liquor. And the food was horrible. Asloppy lasagna with mushy canned green peas inside all of it. I've never heard of peas in Italian lasagna in my life. He tookforever to give people their bills so we could all leave, because it's obvious he wants to do everything by himself andtherefore make others wait so that he can do the job of 3 people. A true narcissistic, arrogance that will not have us comingback. Most definitely Not the dining/date night we we hoping for and so rarely get. Very disappointed in this place and in theowners way with patrons. Even though we don't drink, it's still a pricey place when you add salads and app's. Don't waste yourtime or money on this joint. We have been to Italy many times as we come from an Italian family and have relatives spread over many regions of Italy... including Venice and Sicily. Short of flying to Italy for a home cooked meal, Alberto Ristorante is the closest you can get. Theambience is authentic Italian and the owner is friendly and amazing. Oh my God!!! Want to take a trip to Italy without the plane ride? Go to Alberto's!!! The ambience is like being in Italy. The... food was incredible and Alberto was there to make sure that everything is Perfecto! And it was! From the caprese salad to themeatballs, shrimp cocktail and the housemade ravioli!!!! To finish the dinner a wonderful cappacinno and tiramisu!! It wasmagic! Bravo Alberto! We will be back! Prices are great and I am definitely going to be back! Terrible experience. My husband ordered the bronzino and it was so full of bones it was inedible. The table next to us took note... of my husband struggling to eat his dinner and watched him constantly pulling bones out of his mouth. They then asked the ownerabout ordering the fish and he assured it had no bones. It was disgusting. We also ordered the "special" which was lobsterravioli and it literally tasted like the frozen ravioli you find in the grocery store. Hard, stale bread. The biggest insult waswhen the bill came. The owner overcharged for the bronzino, $38 menu price to $49, never mentioned it, and then when questionedhe stated he gave him the whole fish versus the filet as ordered. He had no remorse, no care that he did not enjoy the dish, anddid not even offer to reduce the price back to it's listed price. Diner beware. Read more
