I had high hopes but It was just Ok. I got the Burnt Tips and Rib platter with coleslaw and green beans and a soft drink. The... portions were adequate but this was not a $25 meal! Ribs were dry and chewy, Burnt tips were soaked with sauce and drippingwith oil. The coleslaw and green beans served in styrofoam cups both had several ounces of liquid on the bottom of the cups. Many of the tables were not clean and the floors under the tables were dirty. The severs were pleasant and food was delivered tothe table quickly. Overpriced mediocre meal? Read more
Challengers of Oklahoma came in tonight to eat. I gave them heads up 130pm we're come in 7pm. The orders we're Quick, food was... really good at Oklahoma Joes, Catoosa. We all talked about Mopar Mods, Tires, Underglows, what jobs we have. Cool, relaxedatmosphere, & very helpful too. In the future we will comeback. Read more
I'm not sure what happened exactly, if it has to do with the franchise process or what, but if you're expecting the Kansas City... experience, you'll be sorely disappointed. I have loved visiting the Olathe, KS location in times past. I understand it is nowcalled Joe's KC Barbecue. Some of the favorites from that menu included Smoked Chicken Gumbo and some of the best Dirty Rice youever ate. This Catoosa location didn't even offer those items. Since I like spice, I decided to try the jalapeno hush puppies.They were hard as a brick, overcooked, and dry as sawdust. Their fried okra was fried whole instead of chopped. It was alsoundercooked causing you to pull the breading off with your teeth when you tried to bite it, leaving stringy okra and seedsbehind. The breading on the okra was also very salty to the point of being bitter. The smoked turkey had a great flavor andtheir sauces were tasty, but I was very disappointed in my sides. Read more
Great counter service, clean dining room, tidy bathroom? and pretty good food, too. This location is also convenient to major... highways and the airport. It took us about 15 minutes to get food. I had the turkey salad, which had fresh spinach and lots oftoppings, though more cheese would have been good. My son had a macaroni and cheese cup and fries, and especially loved thefries. My husband raved about those, too, and said the shredded pork, hot links, and fried okra were good, especially for fastfood. This is only my second time eating at this chain and I've had positive experiences both times. Read more
One of the worst experience I've had here. Took over 20 minutes to get our food. All the meat was cold they where out of onion... rings and didn't tell us tell after we had ordered and waited 10. Lots of people waiting in the dining room upset with the waitjust have a poor atmosphere and one lady just cleaning and scraping the fryer instead of helping. All while we where on ourlunch break.
