Great food and service. Like the new location and larger area. Seems like they have more room to serve their customers. We will... keep going back. Good size portions. Wait time for meal was appropriate for the number of customers and wait staff. Read more

I've eaten here 4 times and each time I had a wonderful time. The food is very authentic and very good. I really love the beans... and the Spanish rice is moist and fluffy. The service is friendly and to round things out they have mariachi music too....comeand emjoy Read more

Why did I give this restaurant three stars? I went to Carlota?s for the first time on July 9, 2022. The restaurant is... beautifully decorated. The food was above average, in my opinion, but it isn?t memorable. My wife had the mole enchiladas and Ihad the #4. The prices were fair. What bothered me is the following. The nickel and dime routine. The menu tells you they willserve you two complimentary rounds of chips and salsa, but then they will charge you for any additional servings. Then what theyserve is what I would categorize as sample sized portions. Literally no other Mexican restaurant does this. Regardless, thechips weren?t even good so I didn?t even get the second round. Furthering the nickel and dime scheme, if you pay with a card, the restaurant will charge you a 3.5% penalty for not paying in cash. Instead of penalizing your customers, you shouldincentivize. La Hacienda restaurant in Oro Valley will give you a scoop of ice cream if you pay in cash. I get the credit cardcompanies charge the restaurant for providing their service, but I don?t want to hear about it. Will I go back? No. Updatecomment in response: Yummy looking and actually being yummy are two different things. It wasn?t bad, it was just middle of theroad. Yes, there?s La Hacienda, but we also go to Guadalajara Grill. Heck, I even drive down to Manuel?s in Green Valley. Theirfood is excellent! You coming back with your smart alec comments makes you look petty. ???? Read more

Our first time at the new space. Looks beautiful and the staff and food are still consistently good. As all restaurants, they... are a bit understaffed , so be kind and be patient. It is worth the wait. Their tacos, enchiladas, and flautas are always goodchoices. They now have a full bar with great Margarita and beer choices as well. Another plus, their homemade salsa is the best???? Read more

It was definitely a busy night at the new location and that is why I am not giving this review 3 stars instead. Our server was... great, but did take awhile for chips and even utensils. We got the food before the utensils but the server was doing everythingon her own. Food was great but very small in my opinion. Taco looked empty, shell was thin, tamale was thin as well. Would giveit a second chance though. Read more

This location is now on the other side of the Oracle Road, from where they were used to found (at Catalina shopping... mall/complex). You will find them tucked away a little, past the McDonald's, Little Caesar's and the local bank. Opened just aday ago in this site, there is such a positive buzz here. Beautifully renovated to the space of what used to be a Family Dollarstore, this restaurant has beautiful decor, with a lot of Mexican accent pieces. You will find incredibly friendly waitingstaff, good food and a fantastic atmosphere. Would highly recommend. Do not let what initially appears as a small parking lotput you off, there is plenty of more space past the entrance, to the right, so just keep driving. Read more

This place has the best salsa that I have had since I've moved to Tucson. While there, the mariachi band was doing their thing... and it was enjoyable. The Verde chicken enchiladas we're good but I wished for a little bit extra spice. The steak on the saladwas excellent, very tasty and tender. Unfortunately the service wasn't that good. We had ordered soup but they tried to bring itout after we received our entree so we asked them not to bring it. And we had to wait for a while before they brought plates andtortillas for the fajitas. Perhaps an off night... Read more
