This place is a great place for Po Boys, and sampler plates. They make a few things and make them well. That?s the key to a good... eatery! Read more

Driving through Castroville and decided to stop by. The staff was friendly and the food came out quickly. Was a little skeptical... at first but it was delicious. The bread comes from Louisiana, which really made the difference. Was nervous that the po'boywould be overly moist with the two different sauce on it but it was perfect. Next time I'm driving through, I'll be stopping byagain. Read more

Recently found this place and have gone 3 times already. The best shrimp po boy I've stumbled upon while living here in San... Antonio. So glad I found this place. Generous portions of perfectly battered/fried shrimp, amazing house sauce and deliciousbread. Got my picky husband hooked too. Definitely would like to try the alligator next time. I got my po boy without theLettuce/tomato/mayo but kept the Pickles and added extra house sauce with a side of gravy fries. Next time I'll ask that theyuse the actual French fries instead of the chips Read more

Loved it, bread reminds me of some of my favorite spots in Uptown New Orleans. Shrimp and Roast Beef Po Boys, Zapps, and 2... favorites in the hot sauce department. Simple, clean, and great. Will be back many times! Read more

Delicious food hands down! It?s so nice to have this gem of a restaurant just a few minutes from our home! The split poboy is... our favorite and the bread just makes the sandwich! Definitely a must try! Read more

Amazing Flavor!! The smell wafted on the breeze as we walked up to the quaint building & made our mouths water!!! The staff was... friendly and made suggestions when we asked. We ended up getting the two 12 inch, one shrimp and oysters and the roast beef andshrimp. Needless to say we ordered with our stomach and could only eat one section each. The bread on our po?boy was crispy onthe outside and soft on the inside. The shrimp and oysters were our favorite. And you know it?s great food when you can eat theleftovers the next day cold and it still taste amazing!!! Highly recommend!! It did lose a star cause I?m short and the seatswere tall and narrow lol Read more

We drove in from the Northside of San Antonio because of an article in the newspaper. With my mom being from the New Orleans... area , I grew up spending every summer eating Roast beef po-boys in New Orleans. We were very excited and looking forward to ayummy po-boy! We were pretty disappointed. First thing you do is order your food at the register. After spending more than $75for 4 po-boys, 1 order of fries and 3 drinks we sat ourselves down and waited for more than a half hour. I had the roast beefpo-boy and was not impressed. When ordering a po-boy it's best to get it "dressed and pressed". They said they don't press.Because they don't press and because I think they made mine first, my bread was a soggy mess. The Roast beef and gravy was good. The fried oysters on my mom's split were raw. My fries were cold and not cooked completely. If it wasn't so far and so expensiveI might give them a second chance but probably not. The waitress who brought our food out was nice! Read more
