?Never trust a bbq restaurant without a long line?. Had the brisket and ribs. Both dry and tough. The sauce was ok, but basic.

I use to come here every morning for the breakfast burritos when I worked in the area. Now the burritos are just a myth every... single time I stop by its either not open, they run out, or it's not ready. And I end up across the street at santiagos. Andheard through the great vine the price has doubled. Read more

Service is great and prices are reasonable. I love that they have a drive-thru. I don't know of any BBQ joint that has one. You... just call in your order, then drive-up pick up your food. Food is good, Ribs and brisket are tender, but I wish there was moreflavor in the meat. Read more

Honestly thought it was a decent place for BBQ for the area until the last time I went got a "full" rack of ribs and 1 lbs of... pork a little more than $50. When I got home the "full" rack was actually a half rack so they got me there won't be going backafter that. Check your orders I've let things go here before because they were small mishaps but literally missing a third ofthe food I ordered is a problem. Read more

I am visiting from California, traveling throughout Colorado on a golf trip. Staying at a hotel close by so I decided to get... some takeout from Old West Barbecue. Unfortunately I did not catch the name of the owner and his daughter, but they treated meso well! Great conversation and even better food! I ordered the pulled pork and brisket along with the macaroni & cheese andbaked beans?.Insanely good!! I have lunch for tomorrow as the proportions are NOT small. Fortunately I am here for one morenight, thus, I know where dinner will be tomorrow! If you are in or traveling through Castle Rock? Do yourself a favor and stophere, you won?t regret it! Read more

Stopped on our way through Colorado! Extremely impressed! It offered a drive thru option, which was ideal in today?s climate.... The cornbread was amazing! Also, ordered hot links, which were awesomely cooked with a great hot bbq sauce. To top off ourexperience we ended it with Ribs! No complaints here! It was a great experience! Read more

Old West is ok, nothing spectacular. When I first moved to Castle Rock I was excited to try old West and wasn't very impressed... with the meal. The place also feels a bit run down and not well taken care of. I recently was told that they have really goodbreakfast burritos and stopped by to try them. I got the pork and green chili as well as a chorizo. The pork one was veryspicy and had decent flavor, but very little pork. The chorizo was ok, not as spicy, but very salty. Both burritos reliefheavily on potato cubes for filler. It's also mid January and there is still a sign on the counter advertising Thanksgivingmeal specials and the window is advertising for the fair that ended in August. The place could definitely use a little moreattention to detail, as it makes me concerned about what else is getting missed. Read more

It?s meat. This place has grown on me. Been here a few times now. The lunch special is the way to go. Fries are cut in house.... Fast service, fresh food. Sweet tea is good as well. The philly cheese steak is the best around. Read more
