Very nice Indian desserts! I got the rasmalai, burfi, power balls, and I forgot the name of the last one but it was like a... Nepali banana and fennel pancake. That last one as well as the burfi were my favorites. The rasmalai was honestly not to mytaste as I'm used to it being very different. The owner is really helpful and friendly, he shared with us the story of the cafeand was a great salesman. I'll definitely be back for more burfi! Read more

By far the best authentic East Indian mithai selection!!! The shop is owned and operated by Craig Wishart, an interesting and... well travelled PhD; the kitchen at Mithai is operated by an ex El Salvadoran army commander. Together they truly make the bestauthentic Bengali mithai, the quality of the sweets in my experience has always been consistent and exceptional. The mithaiselections are always fresh and never doused in sugary syrups to mask inferior , the milk is sourced from Homeland Creamery inJulian NC. This is the kind of a shop where the owner will never compromise on his product offerings and is ever so passionateabout his quaint little mithai heaven. Read more

I would give this place and the storekeeper a 0 rating. We were verbally abused for calling back because we didn?t understand... the statement in the voicemail. For that we were called many things (racial comments included) and we were yelled at and forcedout. Frustrated storekeeper taking it out on the customers. Not a place for anything except flies. To storekeeper: There areother ways to let customers know that back to back calls are troublesome, not straight out yelling just because they walked intoyour place to give you some business. Don?t soft corner yourself, we wouldn?t have called the cops unless it was too disturbing.Your actions threatened a physical abuse that day. Read more

We had a good time and spent having samosas, Chole with sweets with Masala tea. There is no dine-in , however some open space... outside. With cold and heat it?s not comfortable mostly designed for takeaway. Read more

I am a Bengali and no matter how far we are from Calcutta, we always long for those wonderful sweets back home... The closest to... Calcutta style sweets that you can get in these parts, most of the sweets are pretty decent... But the real winners are thesnacks... The Singara, Kochuri and the Vegetable chop are to die for and can give some of the top shops in Bengal a run fortheir money! Filling and insanely delicious! We keep going back for these! Read more

We were looking for a place to have Fresh Indian Snacks and then landed up at this place. I really really loved the place. The... owners were very friendly, it felt as if we are at our friend's place. The food was fresh and yummy. We tried - - Veg Chop : Itwas fantastic and a must try - Mango Lassi : I will rate it 4.5/5 - Masala Chai : It was decent - Bhelpuri : It was good too andcan be customized as per your needs(sweet or spicy) - Sandesh : They prepare the sweets themselves and after eating the firstbite only you will realise that this is the best Sandesh you can get in North Carolina. I will 100% recommend you to try it andother sweets Read more
