We were in Cary and wanted to eat some food Asian food. It was a nice cool fall Saturday night, we were both feeling alright. We... wanted to go somewhere nice for this special date night. We landed upon the MC Restaurant. We didn?t have reservations, butwhen calling to see if they could squeeze us in, the manager James had answered. He was able to get us a nice table and seatedquickly. The place is inside of a historic home. The menu selection is incredible. Ranging from sushi to noodle dishes to fishand the best Lamb you will ever have. We started it off with some delicious oysters. And then split a Shrimp Pad Thai dish andthe Lamb Shank. Both were amazing but the Lamb Shank is so good. It is seriously the best Lamb dish I?ve ever had. The servicewas top notch, great people, amazing food. We would go back for sure. Read more

Went for a special date night and wasn't that thrilled mostly due to the food. we ordered the fried peppers which were... delicious the uni were 2 small bites for 18 $ and didn't really taste like uni... probably the worst uni I've had the seafoodravioli, I really appreciate them splitting the dish for us however the shrimp wasn't cooked right for us the chocolate peanutbutter cake ... avoid at all costs... as someone who knows sweets that was at least a week old in the fridge. the peanuts hadfilled and frozen , the cream chunky, and some even gritty. .. they comped us and asked us not the leave at a sour note..but howcould you after eating that ? we were still hungry we got food at the food truck near by after this the staff and service wasgood over all they were very attentive but I doubt I'll come back after those meals... I had high hopes for this spot Read more

Loved the vibe of the old home, the food was delicious and the bartender makes the most amazing mojito!!! Ashley was our server... and was very attentive, even taking pictures for us and had a candle added to our cake after we told her we were celebrating myfriend?s birthday!! She was very knowledgeable of the menu and made the best suggestions on what to order and the food did notdisappoint!! We had the oyster appetizer, whole grouper and best of all the coconut cake!! We will definitely be returning! Ifyou haven?t tried this place, do yourself a favor and put it on your list!! You?ll be glad you did!! Read more

Went for a bday dinner of four. Had a gift certificate. Service was good.....Helpful, pleasant. We also had Bengal spring rolls... and asparagus tempura...both small plates were excellent and good value. Some items were a bit pricey. Also had tale of twotunas roll, land and sea roll, soft shell crab and some hand rolls. Menu changes periodically. Some of the sushi rolls were thesame from the menu I was given in August but small plates and entrees had changed. They also had a couple specials in additionto the printed menu. One in party ordered a glass noodle dish and it was too spicy for her (not the restaurant's fault) Otherssaid the noodle dish was excellent. We ended with a scrumptious coconut Cake. Read more

At a loss of words and not sure where to start for this review. We were disappointed with the overall food quality and taste.... The atmosphere is pretty cool but in this case it doesn't offset the food especially at these prices. First of all the sushiand sashimi are average at best however they are charging top dollar - so I was expecting more, I've also never seen a sushiroll sliced so thin before. The best dish out of the whole meal was probably the spring rolls and that's awkward cause my wifeand I don't really even like spring rolls that much. Maybe we tried the wrong dish or something but the risotto just tasted oftruffle and the texture was the same as imitation western food you would find in Asia (maybe that's what they were going for) -again expected a bit more from a $40 entree. I know I've mentioned the proce a couple times, I don't have an issue withexpensive menu items if they are up to par with the price tag, but even if the meal cost less I still would keep the same ratingfor taste and quality. Absolutely delicious and unique. Fresh local NC seafood prepared and presented wonderfully. This is my second time at MC... Restaurant, and they have maintained top level service and continued the evolving menu based on what?s in season. Greatcocktails and wine selection too. If you are new to the area remember street parking and the parking lot at the restaurant canbe difficult. Plan on using one of the nearby city lots and its a pleasurable walk of one or two blocks. Celebrated our anniversary here with no regrets. The restaurant decor was trendy but cozy. All the staff were attentive and... polite. Our waiter James was incredible, he described everything perfectly and was always checking in. The bartender madeawesome drinks, one of the best dirty martinis I?ve had in a while. The Chef did an incredible job with a German style porkroast dish and a Vietnamese Chilean sea bass. The sashimi was fresh. The dessert was out of the world. We?ll be coming back forsure. Expensive but you pay for what you get, amazing quality and service! Read more
